Today was the second time that I have been in this store with my toddler when the staff has reiterated, from the moment we walked in, that it is necessary for me to watch my son while shopping. The presumption that I was not going to is rude, the vibe it establishes is not unfriendly, and this is not the first time that staff, including someone I believe is the owner, has been downright cold to me. When my toddler asked about the whereabouts of their marble run a staff person proceeded to share a long story about how it needed to be donated to a charity because it had become a liability to the store due to parents not picking marbles up after children had dropped them on the store floor. This was intended as more of a reference/reprimand for me as it went way over my 2.5 year old’s head. I’ve shopped here without my toddler in tow and have received excellent customer service, and I generally like their inventory, but it is really disheartening to support a local toy store that is, sadly, unkind to children and parents shopping with young kids. We miss the pure and joyful wonder of Persnickety Toys in North Adams...

I really wish you could give half stars on this system since a lot are just missing structural things or out of their control issues.

If this was four and a half stars then it would be because of the parking and just the size of the place. That is it!

I love this place and come every time I come back home. We have nothing like this up in the Burlington, VT area...weird.

They literally have everything under the sun! Stuffed animals, puzzles, board games (easy and hard ((meaning adults)) amongst other fun goodies.

My Dad felt a little out of place from his face, but you could sense it was bringing back memories for him as well where he is 77 and I'm 41.

I loved visiting this store when I lived in MA, and was thrilled that it was still thriving when I visited the area recently! The owner asked if I needed help, and we ended up having a lovely conversation. Such wonderful small town, small business vibes!
