Everything from start to finish was lovely at Maple Terrace. We stayed here after going to MASS MoCA. Our son loved the complimentary treats in our room (cinnamon rolls and Hershey kisses). The pool was so nice, clean, and refreshing. We enjoyed watching the horses while we swam. There was even a poolside basketball hoop and inner tubes to enjoy. Everything you need while you're away from home was available. An added benefit is parking right in front of your room. Very convenient for unloading and loading belongings. The owners were very nice and welcomed us kindly. Every part of the motel was immaculate. You can tell the property is well cared for and clean. Breakfast had many options including: fresh fruit, a variety or cereals, yogurt, breads, all of the toppings (peanut butter, cream cheese, butter, jam/jelly), slices of bread (banana nut and lemon). The property also has a fire pit, corn hole, picnic tables, and many comfortable chairs to relax in and take in the calm. The motel seemed full which is always a good sign, but it was not loud or crowded. Our stay was relaxing and very comfortable. An affordable, clean, welcoming motel like Maple Terrace is a true gem! Do not hesitate booking a stay here.

My wife and I spent the weekend in Williamstown to visit MASS MoCA, and I was quite surprised with her selection of a Motel for our stay (Motel is normally a four-letter word for her), which she booked several months in advance. She did her research and determined that the Maple Terrace Motel was the best blend of value, location, and comfort, and boy was she right. We stayed in a deluxe King Room, which was spacious and very, very clean. The owners focus on providing a great experience was apparent from the get-go with the pleasant greeting at reception, including a very detailed and helpful overview of dining options in the area, the nice little touches in the room (Hershey's kisses on the night stands, small cinnamon rolls and spring water bottles on the fridge), easily positioned smart HDTV with an extensive cable TV line-up, beautiful grounds with multiple seating areas, one over-looking rolling hills with huge willow trees and grazing horses, and the well maintained, outdoor heated pool area. We also enjoyed a pleasant walk through the adjacent cemetery to the Water Street wine shop and restaurants. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

Had a queen room nothing fancy but spotless.Small fridge small microwave (on the floor?) Window AC worked great. Very small bath and shower but again it worked. Beautiful pool and beautiful gas fireplace with brand new outdoor seating and paved walkways. Very reasonable for what we paid.Getting a full size pickup in the lot was hard. Definitely couldn’t be hauling anything. Very nice office staff as well as maid staff. This was one of the cleanest motels we’ve ever been in. Bathroom was spotless as well as the room. The little things that helped make it five stars were the bottled water and candy along with two cinnamon rolls on the table. None of your chains do that anymore. The whole operation you can see is well maintained for an older place. Gardens and picnic tables make it special. Close to the college if that’s what you are looking for. We traveled with a large dog for a $30 up charge. That’s very reasonable today with most charging $75. Everything at this place was spotless even the outside tables. Very impressive.

The owners are just wonderful! We had a 13hr trip from North Carolina and showed up at 3am. The owners made it easy for us to get into our room way after check-in time. It was cozy and most importantly clean! The bathroom was cleaner than my mother-in-law's bathroom and that says a lot! Especially since you are dealing with multiple guests coming in and out. As an avid traveler, I always bring Lysol spray and my own pillowcase because even in nice hotels you never know what you are walking into from the previous guest. However, I didn't need either of these things here! They kept the cozy Berkshire feel and added extra touches like a high tech shower head, soap dispensers in the shower to minimize waste, comfy mattresses, blackout shades AND curtains, a real ironing board and iron (we were in town for a wedding and this was an important feature you take for granted until you don't have one.) My husband and I missed breakfast the next day due to our late ride up and the owner offered us all the breakfast choices even though he had already cleaned up. My one recommendation when booking is to ask for a room facing the horse/farm in the back. What a beautiful view to wake up to, especially on a snowy morning. Either way, you will not be...
