I was there on June 18th Friday evening. Table 93, sat outside. Order #60.

Two problems:

We were overcharged on two separate dishes. Both dishes weren't prepared well.

#1 - The price on the receipt did not match what was on the printed menu. I figured maybe they'd given us an old menu, so I didn't say anything. But looking at their web site now, the price matches what's on their printed menu. It's clear they overcharged. With 6.25% sales tax, the bill should've been $45.05 before tip. Instead, they charged $49.65 before tip. ($2 extra for the tamarind duck, and $2.50 extra for the seafood). I hope this was an honest mistake and they will issue a refund on the difference.

#2 - I ordered Tamarind Duck, Seafood Madness, and soda.

Tamarind Duck - This was poorly prepared. Duck was not all that fresh. Ginger was completely raw. Sauce had gritty, full of visible particles, and didn't taste like tamarind sauce. It's almost as if the the dish was not popular and the chef didn't know how to prepare it. 2/5.

Seafood Madness - Among sea of squid, shrimp, scallop, it also came with two good sized mussel. Unfortunately, mussels still had full beard attached to them. They were not even attempted to be removed. In 40+ years of eating out, that was a first. Sauce was pretty tasty, but it felt like the chef just didn't know how to cook the dish. 3/5.

Verdict: It was a nice summer night in Williamstown. Atmosphere was great. I wish our experience at this restaurant...

Update: I was back in town for the theatre festival so thought Id return and glad I did. I ordered their Pad Thai lunch special ($10.50!), a Thai iced tea and the mango sticky rice (again). I was glad to see that the pad Thai wasn’t orange in color and the Mango sticky rice included practically a whole mango of slices. Plenty for two people. The Thai iced tea was a bit smaller than other places I’ve been to; however, it was delicious. While at the Clark Art Institute, we met a couple of locals who recommended Blue Mango, and my friend and I were glad we came. They have a decent lunch special for which I ordered mango curry with jasmine rice, and my friend veggies with tofu and brown rice. The serving was plentiful and the curry sauce was wonderfully light, not gloopy. The mango was perfectly ripe. What was particularly nice was how they responded to my friend’s request about her allergies. The wait person went above and beyond to check with the kitchen and to assure they were using separate cookware for my friend’s meal. I ordered the sticky rice and mango to go, which was delicious although a bit cooler by the time I got home two hours later. I hope to visit again when I return...

Have visited twice, first time service and food was excellent, and authentic as one of our friends is from Thailand and enjoyed the food's authenticity. They treated us well and acted appropriately with our Service dog, second visit was just okay, the person who seated us was cordial, when a second person came to take our drinks he reseated us because of "the dog" and because it might bother other diners. There were only one other set of diners and they were in a corner far away from us, drinking and enjoying thier meal, and did not ask us to be moved because of the service animal. The waiter then proceeds to move us to the tabnle next to the other guests, which did not make any sense considering they were trying to isolate us. In any case moving tables was unneccesary and could have been considered mild discrimintation on the waiter's part. Truthfully we liked the second table better anyway, but it was a bit off putting that they would do this. We will go abck, and hopefully it will be better. The food was excellent and thats what we...

We ordered their lunch specials drunken noodles and Williams Fried rice, and a coffee flavored bubble tea. First of all you don't have the option to choose a size for your beverage, and they all cost $5, which based on the size of the cup is not crazy expensive, but also not cheap. Second, the tea is overly sweet, especially when you finish the 1st half, the 2nd half just tastes like tons of sugar. And 3rd, the bubbles are super soggy. If you consider all those factors together then the $5 is definitely overpriced. The fried rice was too sweet for our taste. You can ask for some hot sauce but it doesn't really make it taste any better. The drunken noodles have a weird combination of spicy and sweet, which we expected, but it was too heavy and loaded with spices and possibly msg, so you will get very thirsty afterwards. Overall, pretty good indoor environment but with unsatisfactory quality of food.
