Angelo's Outdoor Sports Center — Local services in Wilmington

I've been going to Angelo's bait shop for 30 years, way back when Angelo was still alive. I would go into his liquor store. which is next door to his bait shop, and Angelo's would always be looking through the newspaper sitting on top a stack of beer cases or whatever happened to be just at the right height, for him to browse through the newspaper. He was such a nice guy, always in good spirits, and always in the mood for a conversation. I would go into his liquor store for a case of beer, and I would strike up a conversation with him, and I would end up talking to him for an hour or so. He loved people and would do anything to try to pick your spirits up no matter your mindset or personal situation. He always gave, kinda friendly-fatherly advise for whatever you were going through. You couldn't talk to Angelo's, without becoming a friend to him. To me it's not the same without him there, but it is still a great place for bait, tackle, hunting accessories and licenses. the liquor store next door has all your liquor needs, and if you are after something they don't have, if you ask for it they will have it on the shelf the following week. That was what Angelo's would do for you. If your need was for something he didn't have, he would do his best to have it for you the very next time you entered his store. Buyers beware at this shop don't get scammed. I made no purchase after the rude staff and saw how poor the quality of bait was. Sad gas station bait is better than a bait shop. The owner needs to hire better staff so the shop isn't run into the ground. The old man behind the counter should be fired yelling at customers is never ok you think something is wrong talk to the person you don't yell at good customers and get ignorant of course we will leave and put back what we were going to purchase. The owner needs new staff this guy is a liability and costing business. I’m sure with better staff the bait quality will improve as well so you won’t get minnows with ick and you won’t get dried out worms but They need staff that actually cares and is polite to all customers. Obviously never heard of secret shoppers. And so you’re not allowed to check the bait your buying no containers were left open you people are so very rude so sad. And no hands were put in your sick ridden minnows check your cameras again are you blind or just rude I know what happened and I never touched a thing needless to say we never will be back no problem...

The service is ignorant and disrespectful I suggest if buying nightcrawlers go across the street to shell the worms are double the size and not dried out.
