Really nice park on the banks of the Kankakee River. It has lots of shady trees, a nice playground, a big pavilion, and three sets of permanent concrete cornhole targets. There is a dam that is vlocked off to pedestrians, with water sports allowed upriver of it, and fishing allowed both up and downstream.

Pretty place on the island on the Kankakee river. You can drive onto the island. The Wilmington dam is located there. Lots of little shops and restaurants nearby like Nelly's and the Launching pad. Burgers, dogs, shakes, etc located off of Route 66. We enjoyedoursekves on a Sunday afternoon!

The Gemini Giant was sitting at a restaurant down the street in 1987, where I brought my wife for our 1st meal together after meeting at Tuffy's lounge.
