When I first moved here almost 4 years ago, I would stop here several times a week to get a breakfast sandwich and a drink. But over the last several months, it seems like anytime you go in there to order anything, you are an inconvenience to the staff. Everyone used to be so polite and now you are ignored, or at least treated like they don’t want you there. The older lady serving me this morning, threw my sandwich on the counter, slammed my drink down, and nearly threw my snack off the counter entirely; and didn’t say a word while checking me out. We have lived in Clayton for over 2 years and always got hot dogs from Jones cafe and LOVED them. We heard about flowers and decided to give them a try. Well they were good, but not as good as Jones and also doesn’t have the option of fries, which was very disappointing. The one thing we thought was a huge plus were the hours that are posted online. The Percy Flowers store has been in business for many many years. They serve the almost famous hot dog and should be famous by now. One of the best tasting hot dogs that you will get using the Carolina Brightleaf brand. I definitely recommend visiting this place.
