This "Store" is Nice The customer service from the older woman at the customer service window is HORRIBLE!! I came in on my lunch break from work at 11:30AM 7/7/2023 To get a money order. There was a lady already at the window doing her transaction and a lady in front of me waiting in line as well. A WORKER came in with her paycheck to get cashed while I was standing in line already (along with another co worker) THEY JUST WALKED RIGHT UP TO THE WINDOW cutting the lady in front of me in line!! HOW RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! The WORKER at the customer svc window just ALLOWED the other workers to cut in front of us and cashed BOTH THEIR CHECKS and made the customers WAIT IN LINE!!! I wasted 30 minutes in line didn't eat lunch because the CUST SVC worker allowed the other workers to cash their paychecks INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM WAIT!! When I got to the window I told her that was rude but she really didn't care...THEN after waiting 30 minutes wasting my time watching the workers cash their paychecks that they could have done after the customers were served (apparently they didn't care about customer service either! only about themselves!) I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND THE YOUNGER FEMALE who worked at the Cutomer service window PRETENDED LIKE SHE DIDN'T HEAR ME AND I ASKED HER TWICE...SHE JUST WALKED AWAY!! "AGAIN UNPROFESSIONAL!!" After wasting 30 minutes of my time in line, come to find out they only take cash!! I can't even use my debit card for a money order! There was NO SIGN saying they only take cash!! They need to train the customer service lady better...customers are first and you DO NOT LET WORKERS CUT CUSTOMERS IN LINE!! RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! "AND" put a sign up that says only cash for...

I love Cardenas. I always come here for my groceries, they have the best corn tortillas in town. I guess this is why I was so heartbroken and disappointed after what they did to me. I went to place an order for the Xmas dinners. I ordered a ham dinner for Dec 23 The next day, I decided to order another dinner but this time with a turkey. Mind you each dinner was $109 after tax. On Dec 22nd, one of the Managers called me to say they didn't order enough turkeys or they didn't get them on time, I told her I would take another ham. The next day I went to pick up the dinners but I also wanted to get some ready to eat chicken since I couldn't get a turkey. The Manager came to apologize and told me she was going to give me 10% off of the chicken I bought. Got all my things ready and went home. I took the ham out and BIG SURPRISE!!!! It was DISGUSTING!!! Both hams were either over cooked or spoiled. We were supposed to eat dinner in 2 hours. I took pictures and sent them to the Manager. She said she talked to the people from the kitchen, they don't know what happened. She offered to give me different food, OF COURSE I declined. At this point I'm freaking out cause I don't know what I'm going to serve my guests. We ended up eating KFC ☹️

They gave me a refund for the 2 dinners. Just know that if you ever order a big meal from them, always check the food before...

Cardenas is fine for the products that I buy from there! I mostly buy packaged products and some juices and fresh fruits! Generally only a couple of hot foods but I would like to try more but I only speak the language very little and most times they only have one person there who speaks English or broken English so I usually buy the same things I always buy. I usually spend about 25 -$70 most times I’m in there but my skin color is always a factor because once a hot food clerk saw a few crisp $20’s in my wallet ! She kept looking at the bill and said it didn’t look right, took it up front came back and said it was fake! I got that money from the teller at my bank but she didn’t want to take that or any one I gave her believing they were counterfeit!!! I simply looked at her questioning gave her an old $10 ..no tip took that same $20 bill to the self checkout attendant and asked her to run the same bill through their system and the swipe pin and she asked me who told me that it was fake! I told her and she laughed looking towards the back and made a comment that put a big grin on my face! Didn’t have any problem using them anywhere else I went! HHHHHHHMMMMMMM 😂☺️👍🏽.
