So, I've been meaning to go here for a while, just because I had "heard" they had fresh juices, even before when it was Cherry Berries. This neighborhood (my neighborhood) is badly in need of a fresh juice place, but I hesitated to come here, because I expected that they wouldn't have anything organic and that the juices would be only so so, as it seemed to be one of those Mexican heladerías, which I associate with with artificial things and sugar added.

Well, as expected, they DON'T seem to have any organic juices, but I won't dock them a star, because I'm pretty sure it's not something they're really cognizant of. The sweet people that worked there / seemed to own it don't seem to know what is healthy, unfortunately.

They seemed to have set this up with the "build it and they will come" mentality. The place has potential, though. IF they put JUICE BAR clearly outside and stated somewhere that they try to serve organic fruits and vegetables when possible (and try to use organic when possible), I think they would be more busy than they could imagine.

I ordered two juices and a steak panini. This is what I learned:

They know how to prepare amazing juices!!!!! They prepare them much better, and more generously, than many (or all) of these trendy juice places in town.

I love that they are sealed like Boba teas, even though that hurts me that they're not environmentally friendly. It's so cool that you could order several for friends, family or co-workers and not have to worry about them spilling.

I got #13 which is Grapefruit, Pineapple, Nopal and Papaya. I LOVED that it wasn't too sweet and still had some pulp. The texture was perfect. Size is generous. It felt very healthy. Good for digestion!

I also got the apple, ginger, carrot one, ALSO delicious, but since they are not using organic ingredients, I probably won't get that one again. (petroleum wax, pesticides)

The steak panini was FULL of flavor, like a Mexican torta, panini style. The steak was well marinated and very thin. The bread had great texture and temperature. It had some chipotle sauces. Everything was right about the flavor and texture, BUT I wouldn't order it again, because I'm pretty sure (most likely) there was red dye and glutamate flavor enhancers (like MSG) in the marinade and blue and yellow dye in the pickled jalapeños, but I scarfed it down. So well prepared!!!

The jalapeños were store bought pickled. They could pickle their own. That would be an improvement. They could use artisan bread, without chemical dough enhancers. They could use hormone free beef, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm pretty sure that they buy it across the street at Cárdenas, so... Until the Latin market becomes hip to the way our food is contaminated and how it causes inflammation, weight gain and cancer, this place won't change either.

Accepting it for what it is, and where our community is, in regard to food quality, it deserves 5 stars. Really, really tasty, made with love and an excellent value. If you don't care about things being natural/chemical free, MSG free, as most grab and go food ISN'T, then you'll love it. The only reason I'm a bit more critical is because it's also a juice bar and it claims to be healthy.

It's...

I do not support businesses that try to take advantage of people!!!!I used to love this place until today 1 lady ruined it for me forever!!! I ordered two juices mind you online it says they are $5.99 which is very reasonable (I ordered by phone) so I got there and I figured I'll buy two mineral waters as well (the small Jarritos mineral water) this lady says my total is $19.50 I looked at her and laughed assuming she was joking but no she had the nerve to say that the juice went up 50cents and the mineral water is $3.50 each then she explained cause the price on the mineral water was going up!!!! I looked at her like excuse me that is .79 at the store I'll just buy it there keep your mineral water!!! I went to smiths and just as I said before the mineral water was .70¢!!!! Just another store trying to take advantage of people I usually tip but I didn't today this post is my TIP stop trying to take...

I really don't understand the negative reviews on here.

This place is very refreshing from the food to the service. I got a panini and a smoothie. The items were very tasty and fresh.

Its great to have a healthy option to eat for lunch or just grab a snack.

If you do not wish to eat healthy they have other plenty of options to enjoy as well.

The place is very clean and organized. The staff is fast and friendly.

I will definitely come back.

I hope those with positive experience leave their review - this place deserves recognition for theur tasty menu.

My only advice is for the business to replace the American cheese with real cheese options not chemically produced cheese. They do have feta cheese though and it is super delicious.

Do not let the parking lot scare you away the inside is the...

I love this little shop they have so much to offer and everything is sooo good!!! Miriam the owner is so sweet and accommodating and will make you what ever you want. I had the ham and cheese panini and the best pineapple coconut banana smoothie which, is not on the menu. The best I have ever had! as you can see it didn't last long, it was so delicious. I highly recommend give them a try and support local small business
