El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Nevada

We ordered from this location for an office party. The food was less than we thought but we took it anyway but we specifically asked for the receipt at the location so that we could enter it on the rewards card and we told the location this. When we got the food back at the office- the reciept was there but there was no code or anything to get the points from our VERY LARGE ORDER. We called the location and the person who answered was very rude to us on the phone, he was unhelpful and unprofessional. When we asked his name- he said it was ROCK. We asked to talk to his manager, and he said he was the manager. We are completely appalled that this man was in any level of leadership. He stated the only way to fix this was to come into the location to have this fixed. We immediately took time our of our work day to go back (which was a HUGE inconvenience!) and when we got there- the manager was even ruder at the location. He stated that he had no idea why the reciept printed out like that. He cut us off while we were talking. He spoke with other customers casually instead of working with us. He re-printed the reciept and shooed us away. We told him of the inconvenience for us having to come in TWICE for a receipt that we had specifically asked for with our original order and that we had to come back during office hours to fix it- He rudely told us we should have just come on our OWN TIME. He was inconsiderate and completely rude and as an office we will not be making anymore large office orders from that location because of his behavior. He should not be in a position of management as he doesn't know how to act professionally or take care of customers when his location made a mistake. The only reason I have a 1 star on this review is because google won't let me put none. We got the name of his district manager so we can escalate...

It used to be if you ordered 8 pieced mixed, you would get a whole chicken but now you get whatever they give you. 3 wings, 3 legs, tail cut off, whatever. Order a whole chicken you're supposed to get specific pieces but good luck getting that. Of all the el pollo loco places, this is the worst. The service is incredibly bad and the chicken is often over cooked and dry. I only go here occasionally when I have a coupon and I don't have time to go anywhere else. Yesterday was pretty typical. This tall black woman behind the counter starts giving me attitude because I don't want to answer all her stupid questions. It should be a simple transaction. I order food, I give her money, I get my food and leave. I understand that management forces them to do this but they don't train them to be rude and nasty. No, I don't want tortillas. No, I don't want sides. No, I don't want plates. She insists on showing me the chicken before handing it over even though I just watched them cut it up and put in the container. No, I don't want napkins. Just give me the chicken. It's none of your business how my day is going, just give me the chicken. They're not paying me to buy chicken there so why do they treat me as if they're...

I returned to el pollo loco on eastern and Sahara because they forgot something I ordered. you can’t go inside so I had to wait for someone to come to the door. The manager Cory, a woman, was helping a customer that had a complaint from an online order and wanted a refund. Realizing that an online order would be difficult to refund because I’ve been there myself. The manager refunded the lady out of her own pocket because she was unable to give her an instant refund. I was so impressed by The way she handled the situation with an angry customer. Even people that are managers at a fast food restaurant are having a hard time making ends meet right now, and not knowing what Cory is going through in her personal life, she was choking back tears and told the woman that she just wanted to help her resolve the matter so that she wouldn’t be upset. Cory is a front line worker, she is making our food, and making sure her staff follow CDC guidelines, while keeping their dining room doors locked, people can be so mean because of the smallest thing. If you go by this store, give a shout out to Cory for showing up today and giving from her own pocket, so someone else would have a better day.
