UPDATED REVIEW 12/04/24: The previous management company, Redstone, same management that had responded to this review, has left with no prior mention to the residents here and now RPM is in charge with brand new issues as well.
The last management company had implemented Valet Trash which is $20 a month. A useless service since it's very easy for us to throw our own trash away, but I digress. The issue is we have been paying those $20 a month since the management transfer and this service has not been rendered since the end of October. I went to the office in late October to ask if those charges will be removed since this service was not being provided as stated in our lease. We were told that the previous management company had not paid their invoices but that they were going to pay for this service to continue moving forward.
This was not the case as this service is still not being provided, it is now December. I emailed the leasing office on the 2nd of this month, stating that since they are breaching the contract by not providing the residents with a service indicated in the lease, that we will not be paying until it is removed. It is now the last day before late fees and I'm forced to pay in order to avoid even more useless fees. This is after confirmation from the current management stating they will be paying for it back in October.
I can't emphasize how many issues I have had here, aside from the ones I stated before. I have been living here for 3 years, the pool has not been open once in those 3 years, the front gate has not been closed in those 3 years so I find it funny that those "amenities" are being boasted about on the website when none of them are actually provided for as stated.
OLD REVIEW (REDSTONE MANAGEMENT): I'm writing this review out of sheer frustration. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the leasing office does not allow walk-ins, which is understandable. It can be tough to get an appointment in since your messages will go unanswered due to "high traffic" but after a couple messages you'll be able to make an appointment.
My issue lies with the way packages are handled here. We never received notification of packages being turned away because the name doesn't match exactly what's on the lease even though you can prove they're yours. I have a 2 year old CHILD who received a package in his name and I'm being told everyone who lives in the unit must be on the lease... I'm having a hard time understanding how a TWO YEAR OLD CHILD needs to be listed on our lease or else I won't be able to receive his packages. The issue with this is sometimes he will receive packages in his name due to that being the name on his health insurance so now I can't receive any potential medication, etc. he might need.
When I renewed my lease, I had written agreement that my partner would be added to my lease as he was in the previous lease here in this same complex. I was told after I signed he would be added to make it easier for the office and I agreed because, in my head, if they said they were going to do it, they would. Now, it turns out he was never added so I can't even receive his packages. I posted proof that I was told he would be added, but never was and them telling me I need to add a literal baby to my lease as well but I digress. It's just unfortunate that these rules are made and no one is aware of them because no notification is sent to the tenants.
I had hope that once the owners and management changed that this complex would be better which is the reason we decided to renew our lease here. Yes, they have been fixing it up and making it look prettier, but the root of the issues is still there. I have spoken to my neighbors and a lot of them are also unhappy but I can only speak for myself and I can say I will not be renewing my upcoming lease. I'm paying $1.5k for subpar service when I used to pay the same amount if not a little more for better in a way better...
Read moreThe Boulevard Apartments are TERRIBLE. One star because zero is not an option. From the day we signed our lease we had issues. I specifically went through everything wrong upon move in with AMC and asked over and over if it was in our file. They assured me it was. Things like the blinds being broken on the porch door. A new management company, Greystar, took over within the first few months of our lease, so we had hoped it would get better. It did not. The pool was always green, the hot tub made us sick because it was disgusting, there was trash everywhere. Our fridge went out four times before they replaced it. The first time I called immediately, expecting someone to come over within an hour or so since a fridge going out is considered an emergency (according to my phone conversation with them). It took three days for someone to come check and another day for them to fix it. All our food was bad by then. It was awful. Maintenance is not the issue. They are helpful and quick to the best of their abilities - they just have to work with the office staff. The office ladies, while nice and friendly to talk to, do not do their jobs. They were kind to my kids, which is great, but there were things we needed done for our kids (like the fridge) that seemed to be forgotten about way too often for what we were paying. There is a lack of communication on their part, between office & tenants and office & maintenance staff, that is totally unacceptable. SWAT was there 3 or 4 times within our year of being there, always at the same apartment. The gate is always broken, but they spent money on the tiniest speed bump ever to put at the gate. I could drive along the side and never go over it. I can count on one hand the number of times I had to put in my gate code. Children throw rocks at cars. Toddlers - 18 months old, possibly younger - run around unattended. There are always dumpster divers and homeless people sleeping along the buildings. Our car was vandalized, chicken bones were left in our windshield wipers, the plate off our motorcycle was stolen, and and the air was let out of our tires several times. Kids think its funny to shut off the electricity on the hottest summer days or coldest winter nights. They claim to have surveillance, but when we asked they said it was only in the office. To get anything done, you have to directly email corporate. They did resolve some of the issues, but their excuse was that they are updating and we have just gotten the bad end of it too many times. Someone who was told they had an updated unit was in one that looked exactly like our outdated unit, so that excuse was ridiculous. We specifically chose these apartments because it was gated, there was supposed to be night security, and the pool. All of which were either broken, nowhere to be seen, or utterly disgusting. Once we gave our notice that we would no longer be renting after our lease was up, they inspected out apartment and said everything looked good. So how do we have an $850 bill? I do not recommend renting at The Boulevard unless you enjoy conversation without getting issues resolved and not getting a single thing you pay for.
Also, a little odd to me that all the 5 star reviews are from people with the same names as who signed for my Amazon packages in...

Do yourself a favor. Don't move here!! Stay as far away as you can from here!! I have 11 days left and they can't go quick enough. I wrote a review within my first few weeks of living here and I have a feeling that this will not be my last. My vehicle, registered to MY address, was towed from MY covered parking spot today because a parking sticker was not visible. I go into the leasing office to get another parking sticker. I was told I needed a money order for $25 and proof of registration. Like I said, I have 11 days left. Oh and that's a $312 tow and I was at the tow yard before my vehicle was able to be picked up. I feel for those who can not pay that immediately as more charges will surely accrue!! Meanwhile, the security guards stand in open parking spots to save them until their coworkers arrive so residents of the front have to go park in the back to accommodate "security parking". The front gate hasn't operable in months. The pool just opened a month and a half ago and you need a key to get in and out. No keys were provided. When I requested one, I was told they would be given out in 2 days at the time. 2 weeks later no key available, I just told them to forget it at that point! Police are constantly in & out, frequently blocking the front entrance or exit. You hear police, fire and ambulance sirens all throughout the day & night! Trust me, whatever it is you find appealing about this place, (for me it was cheap & available) it's not worth it! The office staff is still professional and polite but they have had no solutions to any of my issues! 11 days til I'm free!!

The office staff is very nice and extremely proffessional and the apt comes with a washer and dryer, but the good stops there! My apartment wasn't ready before move in date and as a result of that, I was not able to do a walk thru before leasing. I have a very busy schedule, so I had to take a day off in order to move in on the date I signed for. When I walked in the apartment, after signing a lease for it, my stove was inoperable, my bathroom sink would not drain properly, and there were roaches crawling around inside. Turns out the roaches were either remnants of the last tenant, or wanderers from a neighboring apartment because I haven't seen many of late. I called about the stove a d sink, I was told the stove needed parts to be ordered. The faucets and draining pipes were taken off my bathroom sink and left there. It's been two weeks! Much cleaning wasn't done to the apt prior to move in, they just sloppily slapped paint over the walls and called it a day!! I don't know if this is a result of a management change or not, but this is unnacceptable to offer an apt to someone in this condition. $700 for a 1 bedroom apt is an average price, so do yourself a favor and rent...
