This business is a godsend for our community! During the heat of summer or depth of winter, there’s not a ton of stuff nearby to do with high-energy little ones. I was SO excited to see Lil Monsters Playground open their doors, and they’ve proven that they’re not just another corporation - the owners take a lot of pride in serving the kids and families in this community, and it shows!!!
First, this place is CLEAN. You can find posts on IG about how often they clean their ball pit (literally, every single ball!) and even how they do it. During visits, I always see their staff wiping down surfaces. Their staff are also incredibly responsive if you tell them about a problem.
Speaking of responsiveness - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a business that asks for community feedback as often as this one. They also DO things with that feedback, like creating sensory-friendly days for kiddos who need a gentler experience, adding dedicated toddler time so the littlest kids can have safe play time, and even removing the cannons, all because the community asked them to!
Y’all, they even opened a second location in Wellington just because families there asked for it!!!
There are other indoor playgrounds in Northern Colorado, but the owners and staff at Lil Monsters make you feel like part of their family. The owners actually work there! My kids adore Jordy and he always asks how they’re doing and remembers special things about them! Lexi has built up a strong connection with customers AND she goes above and beyond to make it right for anyone who has a less than 5-star experience. The owners also partner Lil Monsters with other community businesses and non-profits, like Stork Support. They recently hosted a donation drop off for this amazing organization. I didn’t even know Stork Support existed until I saw the donation box during a visit!
Seriously, how many kid-friendly businesses are there like this in our area? How many are this clean, safe, welcoming, and inclusive? I’ve lived in three states and I can confidently say this place is unique. When you visit Lil Monsters, pick a random person and ask if they come there often. Odds are, you’ll find yourself talking to a repeat customer - another enthusiastic member of the Lil Monsters family - just like my kids, my parents, my in-laws, and several other extended family members as well as my child’s entire daycare class AND all of their families.
Come and visit! You’ll quickly see why Lexi and Jordy’s Lil Monsters Playground has earned a huge, devoted community in the two short years since they opened...
Read moreThis place seems good for young kiddos who can at least walk and don't mind the loud ball shooting cannons. This was our first visit, and we came during toddler hours. My almost 2 year-old enjoyed herself, but we nearly left in the first 10 minutes because my baby did not like the loud blasters. I was informed by the friendly staff that they do have low sensory days every other Monday, and we will return for that. Their huge ball pit is super fun for the kids, but I don't reccomend it while carrying a baby as it's a little tough to navigate and my 2 year-old struggled a bit to get through it. She's even tall for her age. Some of the things that the kids can climb on/up are too difficult for even a 3 year-old, which is why I won't bring my 11 month-old back, so I can actually keep an eye on my 2 year-old and help her when needed, without being strapped to a baby. There is a lot of comfy seating/chairs in the perimeter of the play area, as well as on the edges of the ball pit area. This is especially nice if you have younger kids that you'd like to keep a closer eye on.
I'd like to note that the owner promptly addressed some other concerns that I had from our visit, which is rare these days. This is definitely a place to bring your kids and feel good...
Read moreReally enjoyed going and my daughter loved it. Had made plans with friends and family to come by after work (working single mom). Super disappointed that they changed hours to no longer accommodate families and others that have obligations like work. Now I cannot take my daughter. And weekends are out of the question for us. Hoping they reconsider the hours change. Showed up to a closed facility with no notice of hours changing.
Editing to add:typically when you’re changing hours, you tell customers and make the changes happen a few weeks out. We were there Friday night and came Monday night. Nothing was said or communicated to us that hours would change. We even commented on how convenient it was that y’all were open later. Then boom, Monday, closed at five. It would have been helpful to have known hours were going to be changing and not just a decision made that day(which we found out was the case) and then just a note on the door to accommodate your same day change. Just seems that you’re looking to serve only the stay at home/non working families. Just bummed. Hope that you’ll have...
