The Emporium Clubhouse — Restaurant in Windsor

Not a good start…. The drinks were fast and on point but the food was wow. They are a new place so I was okay with that but it was 7 pm on a Saturday there were maybe 20 people in the entire place. My problem came when I went to ask for more catchup and a lady who acted like a manger was complaining with a dude with a man bun about the last review on here. They had every right to be upset like they said the food took forever. My problem was that when I went to ask for more catchup after my chicken basket took 30-45 minutes to come out. They were to busy complaining about the person who left the last review right in front of me. Then turned around and said can you wait a couple minutes…. The only reason I leave a two star review is because the waitress was nice and apologetic. End of the day, this is not a good start… Shown by the reviews and the fact that on a Saturday in a town of 60k people you had less than 20 people in there and can’t get food out in a timely manner. Also there is staff who complains about people leaving reviews in front of other customers. They know tonight was a bad night because they all said they knew it was taking a long time but then talks trash about someone voicing it. We had 5 drinks total and 2 chicken baskets and an hour of pool $101 left 25% because the waitress was kind. If tonight was any show of how this place will...

I have been a regular at emporium since a couple months after they opened. I love the staff, atmosphere and food. Because I enjoy being there I have made sure to consistently be there Monday nights because I love playing pool and I bring friends as well. Additionally, I try to come in a couple other nights every once in a while to play pool and enjoy some time off work.

Tonight I showed up to the bar, that has 5 pool tables, and 4/5 were reserved and the "open" one had people on it.

The staff informed me that there was pool league that night. Pool league took up 4 tables for 4+ hours on free pool night??

Again, love the staff and bar and everything, but that seemed silly. However, I just let them know I could shift my schedule and be a regular another night until pool league was done. That was then they informed me that pool league is MONDAY -THURSDAY for 4+ hours and they will only have ONE table open... The pool bar isn't going to have pool MOST of the week?!? And friday-sunday are their busiest NORMAL nights...

How do they expect to keep regulars? What happens when league is done? Because I am sure many regulars will be going elsewhere to spend their money. Seems profitable in the short term, but long term?

I’m only giving 5 stars because a friend of a friend owns this place, and it just opened. So I don’t want to leave a low star review.. however.. $13 for 3 chicken tenders is absolutely insane. I got the chicken tender appetizer with my husband because I was starving and needed some protein, and there’s just not many options other than a full pizza or different variations of potatoes at this place…. Thinking $13 would mean I’d have a shareable amount of food.. I couldn’t believe we got 3 tenders and fries that seemed to be out of a frozen bag.. I mean AT LEAST give 4 tenders so you can evenly share it…

Those 3 tenders were worth $6 at best.. and that’s including bidenomics inflation… $2 per each (probably) frozen, thin, chicken tender seems realistic.. not fair.. but realistic…. But $13?!?! That’s all I’ll be able to remember about this place… my husband and I will laugh about this for years to come. If we are ever invited back out here for a sporting event with our friends, I’ll make sure to eat...
