Stop & Shop — Local services in Windsor

I’ve grown up shopping at Stop and Shop and specifically this one in Windsor. Lately I’ve been utilizing the pea pod pick up. At first it was going great! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The last two times when I’ve gone to pick up, my entire order was given to someone else and I had to wait for that person to return. It was over 30 minutes of waiting. I took a break from ordering groceries and went to another store for a while. This week I decided to try it again and give the benefit of the doubt. I ordered online, was the only person picking up when I went. I asked the worker and she Confirmed that it was my order. I got home and realized I had half my groceries and half someone else’s! I called the store and went back to exchange, I’m disappointed that two times in a row this has been my experience. I’m absolutely on the fence about using this store again in the future and switching to Aldi’s or...

I went in today to place an order for a custom cake and was completely ignored by the person behind the counter. When my husband called her for assistance, she had an attitude and acted like she was bothered that we even wanted to place an order. She didn’t offer me any options or guidance — I had to tell her exactly what I wanted.

After I ordered a double sheet cake, I went back to ask about a filling (since she never asked me if I wanted one in the first place). Instead of explaining the choices, she snapped, “What filling do you want?” When I asked what options were available, she repeated the same question in an irritated tone.

This kind of rude and dismissive service is unacceptable. To be honest, her behavior made me so uncomfortable that I am now worried about the quality and safety of the cake I ordered. I am seriously considering canceling the order because I don’t trust that it will be...

the produce is atrocious, Ive never cut into so many rotten potatoes and onions in my life until I had to shop at this store. I also had to start triple checking the expiration dates with my phone light because I brought home some meat that was not good and when I really looked at the "sell by" date it was extremely obvious that they had stamped over the original expiration date to make a new one. If you can find an employee they are obviously miserable in their work place-which is sad. I Always pay attention to how the employees behave and everyone's mood overall because you can tell how they are treated by supervisors and how much pride they have in their store.
