This doesn't reflect the actual employees of the store.
I came in a few days ago, first of all its freezing in the building.. Mentioned that to one of the employees and he said that it's already been fixed and it's 54 degrees!! (He replied with a smirk) He then helped me figure out what was wrong with my car with the little plug in thing. Before leaving another customer started complaining about the hours being shorter or something than before. The employee explained that it's just him and one other employee that's able to open or close the store. That didn't work for this customer who suggested that they do 7 days a week open to close because that's what they're paid for... Employee said that the DM (Assuming District Manager) had allowed them to close a little early to avoid the 60 hour work week. Now for my huge issue!! My Grandpa collects those little Autozone cars that come out around Christmas, I tried both Rochester locations (both in a complete state of panic) and finally Winona, the guys in Winona were the only ones who knew what I was asking for, the Rochester north store had a crabby lady that didn't seem to have time for customers. So!! Crabby customer complains about hours, employee states DM shortened hours, then on the Autozone reviews the response from owner is something like "Posted hours are to be abided by." How spineless is that! You tell your employees one thing, but then throw them under the bus once you get a complaint. It's obvious now why the Rochester stores...
Read moreWent to get my battery because I got a call is ready to pick up. When I got in, the part manager and their red shirt were busy so I went near the battery station counter to locate my battery and got told to hold up. Few mins later when the manager got done with his customer, he told me to come here and I went. Yelled at me to never go behind the pod computer without permission (was near the battery testing area, not even near the front). He also told me not to talk to him because I wasn't the one buying a light because I happened to bump into a friend in the store who was in need finding a bulb but didn't know much English. The manager happened to bring up the 194bulb which he said it was the right bulb and all I asked was how he know if that was the right bulb from looking at the one my friend had and not the 193 one because both watts are different.
As I kept talking, their manager asked me if I was his attorney and not allow to talk to him, yelling at me to let my friend speak and when my friend asked "Which watts was the right one?" He replied, he couldn't tell infront of him because I was still by my friends side.
I told my friend to not have him yell at us anymore and buy the 194bulb and get a receipt incase this happened to the wrong bulb. How unprofessional, yelling at me for helping my friend find the right bulb, not letting me speak of my broken English speaking friend. Super rude and mean. How did he even end up being a parts...
Read moreMy "google-less" cousin had a 5-star experience at the Winona Autozone and wanted to make sure to post before he forgot: at the end of May i had AAA jump my dead car and was out driving it around for quite a while before taking it to the car wash behind Autozone (no relation), whereupon it died. So i walked to Autozone to explain, and Kevin happily met me back at the car and did some tests etc. We managed to revive it enough to drive it to the Autozone parking lot where both he and "Louie?" ran some tests and tested some ideas. I thought maybe i could limp the car home, but it decided to die on me. They kept the battery overnight and i just crossed my fingers. Not only did they let me keep the car there overnight, Kevin gave me a ride home (which was way out of his way!) and discussed car theories and what the next day had in store. The next day was "bad news" but instead of trying to sell me a new battery, they gave me some alternatives (as i was leaving on the train the next day for 2weeks)...and allowed me to park it in their adjacent lot for that time. It was almost like having a personal casual mechanic, very helpful and friendly, no up-selling, no BS. Huge shout out to Kevin there, i'm glad i decided to (attempted to) wash...
