Rented 2 suits for an my son’s October wedding in August. Father of the groom and ring bearer. Was never informed on when we would receive the suits so I called 2 weeks before the event to ensure they would be delivered in time. Was assured they would be. Called again one week before event and still no estimated time of delivery. Called the Monday before the event (Thursday of same week) and was finally told we would receive the order the next day, Tuesday. Tuesday comes and she thankfully called and notified us that suits haven’t been delivered yet but will be contacted first thing Wednesday morning by 10am. 10 am comes and goes, nothing from the boutique. Noon comes and goes, nothing. Meanwhile, they are closed as they only have hours by appointment or open only on the weekends and I am calling over and over in a panic leaving messages with no response. Go all the way down to the store front and there is a cell number posted. 2:30pm comes around and finally able to reach her. First thing out of her mouth is “Oh I forgot about you.” Explains she is having an emergency but no empathy for my situation, no apology, no estimated time we can get the suits. Basically I am tasked to figure it out. I offer to go to UPS myself to get them and was told I could not. Big fight ensues over the lack of customer service and stress. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, owner hangs up on me. I then resolve that we aren’t getting the suits in time so need to run to La Crosse for dress pants and shirts. I certainly will not continue to call during an emergency, I’ll just request a refund. Finally after 6pm at night we were expected to drop everything at a moments notice and run to the store for pickup. When we finally receive them, nothing fit correctly even through she personally measured everything before ordering. So we spent the night before leaving at the shop until after 830 pm attempting to alter items that ultimately still did not fit appropriately instead of taking care of the other items I needed to before leaving to the wedding. Was also not given instructions on when to return the suits so I waited for posted business hours to come around to bring them back. On Thursday, got a phone call demanding the items be returned that day. I told her the last time we spoke, she hung up on me, I was working and could not just drop everything and would return items during posted open business hours. Read moreI hate to leave this but after investing a lot of money into having my dress altered then having to have it re-altered by someone else I felt it was necessary. My original shopping experience in 2020 was great. Then the pandemic hit and things became less than stellar. I was pushed to purchase my dress off the rack. To discover after purchase it was 2 sizes too big. She altered it only to charge me over half of what the dress costed in alterations alone. After losing weight I couldn't entrust my alterations with this shop again as I discovered the lace applique she applied to hide bustle buttons was CUT out of my dress. I now have random gaps of missing lace and tool where she cut it out. Unfortunately two of those spots are on my BUST!!! There were plenty of inconspicuous spots that could have been chosen instead she chose the front. This is a very disheartening discovery after spending over $400 on the alterations because she said she had to purchase...

I had gone to Rochester and up to the Cities and didn't find anything that felt like "the one." I thought I would probably have to settle for something that I liked enough. But then I went to a sale/open house event at Boutique on Broadway on a whim.
Everyone at the store was helpful and kind! Tried on a dress or two before the ladies convinced me to try out a dress I thought wouldn't work. I was so wrong and they were so right! It's unique, fit me nearly perfectly, and--best of all--made me emotional!
I just picked up my dress after alterations and my fitting and it's even prettier than I remember. Alterations were very reasonably priced as well and the bustle looks awesome.
