Speaking of the Restaurant, located off to the side and back of the main store: Have eaten there on many occasions. I have eaten at many Spanish Restaurants between here and California and I have to say; this may be the Best Spanish/Mexican Restaurant in the Country!! The food is Always fresh and well prepared. I usually order the Burrito with a side of their "Famous" Rice. The ingredients in the Burrito are well ordered (not too much of one thing on one side (say, the meat) and all the fixing on the other. The Burrito is perfectly blended and spiced (not too hot to burn your mouth, but the perfect "zing" that is Oh Sooo Tasty!!) The portions are Perfect and the Staff working here may be the most pleasant I have ever met. They are ususally packed and very busy, but you would never know it by the attitude and just plain "Niceness" of all the workers. Try to get there while you can, it is packed most of the time, they do have off peak hours between meal times. It will be an experience Long Remembered and when you are done, you will immediately be thinking about how soon you can get back (In fact, i'm thinking...
Read moreNice little Mexican store that has a bit of everything. A little over priced but you can find everything you need. They have a restaurant too but haven't tried it. Food looks good and they have tamales on the weekends. Will have to try and report back.
4/7/25 Update: we've ordered tamales from here plenty of times on the weekends. They are really tasty and have plently of stuffing and sauce. They have a sit in restaurant but haven't tried it until this past Sunday. Let me tell you, it is good! Don't let the cafeteria style set up fool you. We had enmoladas with grilled chicken and beef ribs in green sauce (this plate came with rice and beans). Everything tasted homemade and authentic. We also ordered 2 aguas frescas (melon y Jamaica), total was $42!! We couldn't believe we ate so good for so little. Truly a little gem and will...
Read more4-Star Review for El Mercadito Mexican Restaurant – Sicklerville
El Mercadito is a great spot for authentic Mexican food in Sicklerville! The beef tacos were flavorful and well-seasoned, with fresh toppings that added the perfect crunch. The tamales were soft and packed with delicious filling, just like homemade. The chicken and rice dish was comforting and well-cooked, with a nice balance of spices. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wait time was a bit longer than expected, but overall, a fantastic experience. Definitely...
