If you arrive at the opening at 8:30, it’s when the good deals are had! If you arrive at 9:30 to 10:00 which is when I roll in, I’ll find what I’m looking for. It’s pretty much the same cast of characters every week. There are individuals selling everything from singles (New to Vintage), Factory Sets, Collector collated Sets, factory sealed boxes (New to Vintage).
GUEST SIGNERS: Usually every 7th or 8th Sunday, the organizers will bring in a “Vintage” former player to have private signings usually for a minimum of 1 hour to the norm of two hours. There is a cost for the signatures and additional costs for adding an inscription(s) or other information. Also, there can be varying costs depending on what is to be signed ie; Baseball Bat, Hockey Stick, Puck, Baseball, Shirt, Jersey, Sweater, 8 x 10 photos, Cards, Helmets, Football vs “Mini”, Posters, Cleats, Skates,
LASTLY, There are a super group of people there each week. Some of the vendors have their own stores during the week in Maine, Mass, New Hampshire, and Connecticut that I can think off. It is a “fantabulous“ place to meet other Collector’s, Networking opportunity’s, and information gathering about other shows and signings. Happy...
Read moreThis is a small long running show and it's convenient because it's every weekend. However they charge admission which is kind if crazy given the small number of vendors. There is a raffle for several low end Boston sports autographed cards which I never win, but whatever. Was rather annoyed last time I went because I showed up at 10:45, supposed to run til at least noon and half of the vendors were already packing up to leave. The dealers at this show have gotten increasingly more expensive and pushy when it comes to pricing. Way too many overpriced retail blaster boxes, not too much hobby selection, and cheap singles except for one old time dealer are scarce. Also last time I went the guy that sells supplies was not there and that was the main reason I went. I'll go, but I've been less than thrilled with this show lately. I've gotten good deals in the past but it's becoming a harder...
Read moreBeen here a few times... It's hit or miss. I brought my son here most recently this past May. It was great trying to explain to him what the aroma in the air was... it was weed. A few of the vendors were high as a kite, and the aroma was robust near their tables. I was also trying to sell a few PC cards, including a Mario Lemieux 3rd year PSA authenticated auto. One of the vendors low balled me saying "Autos make cards worth less." On the other hand, we visited early this year and found some good deals with vendors who weren't clearly high...
