Taco Bell — Restaurant in Wood River

UPDATE: Just read the other reviews. This place has become a complete joke.

Went there to pick up a DoorDash order and place an order of my own. 2 cars in front of me. By the time I got to the order box , they told me to wait a few minutes. Waited 5 to 10 minutes. I asked Again, and they repeated the same thing. Now cars were piling up behind me. All in all, I wasn’t acknowledged for about 40 minutes. (With literally ZERO cars in front of me. ) The woman acted like she didn’t know I was there, but three times they came on the Talkbox to tell me to wait a few minutes.

Then I had to have them REMAKE The order I was picking up, because God knows how long it was sitting there, and it was physically cold to the touch through the bag. The employee acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and seemed personally offended that I asked for the order to be remade. The guy being trained on the window got fed up and slammed his headset.

All in all, I was there for over an hour to pick up a DoorDash order that consisted of a quesadilla, a meximelt and a drink. For about 35 minutes I was the only car in line and they STILL could not do this competently.

One lady claimed that they were shortstaffed, But there were 2 people standing around doing literally nothing the entire time I was at the window. No help whatsoever, no apology, nothing.

I usually don’t write reviews, but they mess up my order and forget items literally EVERY SINGLE TIME. It’s so frustrating. They never and I mean NEVER include the sauce you ask for. The last time I used the drive-thru, the employee literally acted pissed off at me when I politely pointed out that she gave me the wrong drink. I’m so sick of it. I really enjoy Taco Bell and this is the only location near me without driving to Alton or Bethalto. Lately everything has been stale and extremely sloppily made. Don’t even attempt ordering through DoorDash. They will absolutely, without fail, leave out items. To top it off, it seems like the prices have raised everywhere . Very...

This entire dinner was a total bust. Got to TacoBell in Wood River, Il. Ordered Food for 4. After the long wait, for the food, come home to serve hungry kids. Ordered 2 $5.00 boxes, the food had just been dumped in the boxes. You could not even pick up the tacos thau were that busted up. Ordered 2 double decker tacos. Didn't get either one. A crunchy taco was added to our order, was charged for it. Wasn't in there. The cinnamon twists could not even be eaten. They had been cooked in "old" grease, there was no sugar or cinnamon on them at all. We had to put it all together and let the kids eat it like a big nacho mess. Looked more like garbage. Tried to call and talk to a manager to get this resolved. After calling 10 times in a 45 minute period. The phone have a busy signal everytime. Tried to call customer service. Said to call back tomorrow. Very dissatisfied and several disappointed kids. Issue was not...

Absolute worst customer service ever from the manager. I ordered carryout at 6:58pm and sat in the lobby.. At 7:25pm i asked if my order had been made yet and they said no! 25 minutes of sitting there and it had still not even been started-- though the drive thru orders were being taken and then made instantly. I have worked in the food industry for 15 years and try to give the employees some slack due to being busy but there is no excuse for the way the manager was dealing with it tonight. Not sure why it would make a difference if my order was placed at the counter or from my car.. orders should be made in the order they are placed. Had I not said something... would they have continued to make all the drive thru orders and make me wait till no more were in line? Makes no sense. I left and went to the east alton tacobell and had fast & friendly service. I will not be returning to the wood...
