I first met Nadia when I visited her store this summer to find an outfit for my engagement. I had gone to almost every desi store in Iselin and had almost given up on finding something I liked, but I found exactly what I was looking for in Nadia's store -- a beautiful, tasteful blush pink outfit with heavy kaam on the kameez. My sister and I spoke to Nadia that day briefly about the possibility of her making my bridal lengha (I'm really picky, so I knew I would not find my dress off the rack), but we were not ready to commit at that time. She was not pushy and told us to do our research and come back later. After reading Nadia's reviews online, I came back in late August to ask Nadia to make my dress. I showed her photos of a similar bridal dress that I liked and talked to her about the changes I wanted to make to that dress. Nadia wrote it all down (and gave me some suggestions, which I agreed with), asked me to email her the photos of the dress, and took detailed measurements that day. I was very busy with work after that so other than getting in touch with her (via text) to confirm the fabric color of my dress was correct (she found the perfect red - not too light and not too dark), I didn't touch base with Nadia again until mid-November to ask if my dress was ready (my wedding was in mid-December and she had said she would have it ready a month in advance, just in case there were fit issues). It was and I went to her store the next weekend to try on the outfit. My dress was so beautiful, classy, and unique - it was a red velvet lengha and heavily embellished choli (but the length went down to the top of the lengha because I did not want any skin showing) with a net dupatta that was scattered with sitarey (stars). I was honestly blown away by what Nadia created for me (and with so little guidance from me)! The only issue was that the blouse was a little loose. The tailor that works in Nadia's shop tightened it but ended up tightening it a little too much, so the next day he loosened it a little. The final fit was perfect. I received so many compliments on my wedding day. I'm very happy that I had Nadia design and create my lengha.

Working with Nadia (and all of her employees!) was such a pleasure that I recommended her to my friend who was also getting married and wanted an American style wedding dress. My friend also had a great experience working with Nadia. Bottom line is that Nadia is very easy to work with, has a great sense of style, and is reliable, so if you are picky and know you won't find your wedding dress (whether American or desi) off the rack you should have her create your dress! If you're just looking for party wear, you should stop by her store because everything she carries is so unique...

I had a terrible experience with this business. Nadia ruined my custom dress and has refused to refund my money, even after I waited over 3 months. She never provided me with progress pictures despite multiple requests, and I had to repeatedly chase her just to get updates.

When I finally received the dress, it was nothing like what I had ordered — the materials had stains, the design instructions were completely ignored, and the outfit was completely unusable. When I asked for my money back, she refused. Despite owning two stores, she claimed she didn’t have a penny in her account to refund me.

After she ignored my texts, I was forced to visit her store in person since my sister’s Nikka (wedding) was only 10 days away. At that time, she promised to return my money. However, after waiting several more days, I had to call her again — only to be told that she “couldn’t afford” to refund my deposit, even though my dress was not made to the pdf of details.

The color is not what we agreed upon in person or in the document of specifications I had sent. The tailoring ignored the requested neckline with picture examples given. The style itself is of a completely different design than the examples shown in store, despite being given sample pictures as well in the garment details pdf.
