Parkers' Karat Patch Jewelers — Local services in Woodfin

11/29/2019 We moved to North Asheville two years ago, and have driven by Parker’s Karat Patch numerous times without ever having cause to stop in. About a month ago, my wife noticed a broken prong on her (40-year-old) diamond ring. We prefer to support local businesses, so we took it to Karat Patch, and they were wonderful; explaining exactly what needed to be done and why and how.

When we went to pick up her ring – which was done perfectly – we thought about having some additional work done. Kristin was absolutely incredible; offering help, guidance and suggestions. We had several older pieces and wanted to do something useful with them. My wife and I both wear necklace medallions with our late daughter’s fingerprint etched into them. We had our daughter’s engagement ring, and my wife wanted to somehow use that diamond to wear on her fingerprint necklace. Kristin designed a pendant that went on the chain, and looked just beautiful. That diamond from our daughter’s ring had originally belonged to my wife’s mother, so my wife will have a part of both her mother and our daughter close to her always.

We had two additional family heirloom diamonds, and we discussed how they might be used in a more contemporary piece. Kristin suggested that they be embedded in each of our wedding rings. A completely novel idea. Kristin went over all of the options and possibilities. I can only say that the design and execution turned out to be exceptionally beautiful. We cannot be any more pleased with the outcome.

I can’t say enough about Kristin and her entire staff. The knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and the premium put on customer satisfaction are all outstanding. After we picked up the rings today, Kristin later called us at home to apologize for being out to lunch when we came in, and to make sure we were pleased and satisfied with the end result. We are beyond pleased; we are absolutely thrilled!

I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for; and the cost relative to the entire experience, in my mind was a bargain. I won’t say it was “cheap”, but no corners were cut and to us the finished products are priceless; both intrinsically and sentimentally. I don’t see why we would ever have any reason to take our jewelry needs elsewhere.

My fiance and I have never gotten custom jewellry before - and we had an unusual request for Parker's. We wanted wedding pendants rather than rings. We had a rough idea of our design as our zodiac symbols, Virgo and Scorpio, drawn out to be close to our initials. We wanted to have the zodiac symbols stand out in copper. And we originally thought to have damascus as the base, but realized (with Kristin's help!) that it would be too dark and too weighty. Instead, she suggested silver, engraved with a damascus design - and the end result was truly breathtaking. The entire process with Parker's, from start to finish, was beyond outstanding. Kristin was both realistic and incredibly helpful, the staff were amazingly friendly (Emma and Jamie are so sweet!) and as you can tell by these pictures, the jeweller and engraver here is an ARTIST. Not to mention that the price was well within our budget and very fair! We even got to add secret messages to each other engraved on the back (to be revealed during the wedding!), and Kristin was very careful to keep them a secret!! I cried when I saw our pendants - these are more beautiful than we could have even imagined - they were exactly what we had in mind, and even shinier than that! Thank you so much to Parker's for treating mine and my partner's love as if it were your very own. This is a truly special place. I can't speak highly enough about Parkers' Karat Patch and Kristin!! We very nearly bought my engagement ring from an online store but I was worried about quality. I am SO glad we didn't and went to the Karat Patch instead! I showed Kristin the ring I liked from the online store and she showed me similar ones. I'm indecisive and I liked features of 2 different rings. Kristin took elements of both and designed the most perfect ring that I'm still in love with 9 months later! We also got to choose the main, center diamond and Kristin was so helpful with that process too. I have zero concerns about quality. I know that a lot of personal time and attention went into making this ring and you can tell by the look and feel. I've received so many compliments on how gorgeous and sparkly my ring is and I'm confident it will continue to shine for many years to come. Needless to say my now husband and I went back to the Karat Patch for both our wedding bands and Kristin again helped us design them. My wedding band matches my engagement ring perfectly! I love how communicative the Karat Patch is throughout the designing and buying process and we will certainly be back for any other...
