Came here yesterday Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy! My son turned a year recently and started walking on his own which was so exciting for us! So my review is based mostly on the toddler area (3 years and younger). The toddler area is big and very nice!! But there were a few things that were a bit annoying - a big one was that older, energetic kids were running in the toddler area and knocking/ pushing over the littles. If you know me, I immediately told some of them that this area is for 3years and younger and they were too big for this area. Some listened. No parents around obviously. There was a 5yo with their parent present, but still. Some of these older kids are just too rough with the littles around. Some were self-conscious enough to wait patiently until my son went down the slide by himself. But I wish the age restriction to the toddler area was enforced a bit better I guess. I know that’s hard to do as a business, especially on a busy weekend.
Also, I think the train set should be moved elsewhere like in the bigger kid area, my kid just tears up the tracks and throws the trains on the ground, which upset an older kid that was playing. My suggestion would be to remove the train set, and put a smaller slide for the babies or more wall puzzles.
There was one staff member going around the whole place, putting books back in the bookcase, rearranging things and so on. She was attentive and very kind. I do wonder how often the place gets cleaned as I saw loose strands of hair and dust/dirt in the toddler area which made me uneasy the times my kid crawled on the floor.
All in all, I will definitely come back!! Albeit a weekday morning. This place IS super nice and I would even consider getting a membership if I see conditions are better on a weekday. I know you can’t expect perfection from new businesses and my review is really tailored to one small aspect of the place. I haven’t tried their cafe but I hear good things. And I loved the nursery room! Bathrooms are clean and kid friendly. I will update my review once I start coming more frequently,...
Read moreI recently hosted my daughter’s fourth birthday party at Wonder Lane and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The party package was advertised as including decorations, but all that was provided was a basic “Happy Birthday” banner (dollar store quality), a single purple balloon on each chair, and a generic #4 balloon. The only themed items were napkins and goody bags, which felt underwhelming given the price I paid.
The party host was kind but seemed overwhelmed, frequently leaving to assist at the front desk. As a result, we ran out of water and napkins, and it took a long time to find her for assistance. She also wasn’t well-trained on how to manage a birthday party—she didn’t know when to gather the kids for cake, and I had to ask her to cut it. When the party was over, she said we could take everything home but didn’t offer to help us with a wagon to transport everything to the car (it’s a long walk). It seemed like she was left to manage everything alone without proper guidance.
What bothers me most is the misleading advertising. Their social media showcases beautifully decorated parties, but I later realized those setups require an extra $400-$500 for third-party decorations. For the price I paid, I expected a more organized experience with better decorations and a properly trained host. Honestly, I would have been better off gathering the parents and buying them each a coffee at the café rather than paying for an actual party. Speaking of which, since this venue markets itself as a café and playground, I was surprised and disappointed that coffee wasn’t even included in the party package. This is upsetting as my daughter and her friends have such a great time on a regular day. It was just disappointing as a mom to see that her daughter’s birthday wasn’t treated as a special day from the staff. It felt like any other random customer and we didnt pay a random or...
Read moreAmazing amazing AMAZING! We had my 3yr olds birthday at Wonder Lane and it couldn't have been more perfect! Planning our party with Mariam one of the owners was a dream! She's the nicest person and you can tell she really has passion for her business by the way she runs and organizes these parties. We had been to wonder lane before for regular play dates so I knew what to expect. They're super clean and there's so much for the kids to do that I knew this would be the perfect place for a party. All I had to do was tell her the theme my son wanted and they had everything set up for us. All we did was show up! The food and desserts were delicious. All the parents that attended the party couldn't stop raving to me how cute the place was and how their children were having a blast! There's so much for the kids to play with and you can tell this place was really thought out when it was built. Mariam's staff members were super friendly and helpful. Always very attentive to all my guests needs. And I could write a whole other review just for her coffee bar in the facility!! As a mom of 2 toddler I needed mommy fuel to keep me going and all the other moms attending agreed! One of the best lattes I ever had! I can't thank them enough for such a great experience! They really did a great job putting together such a perfect celebration, took all the stress I would've had to deal with otherwise and I was just able to enjoy the party with my...
