We went Around 3 PM to avoid all the ruckus and busy times. It was a special occasion today for a family member and they went here last year before Covid hit in January and for some reason they said the steaks were really amazing so we tried to go back again. We ordered a hamburger with Swiss cheese and Portabella mushroom, the Thai salad, and two steaks One New York Sirloin and other one a Porter House. The size of the steaks were really nice but we asked for them to be well done the porterhouse was done well but the New York sirloin was medium. I don’t understand why they put tomatoes and lettuce with the steaks that’s really weird. The other thing we asked for to have no wine sauce. And the mushrooms we wanted it on the side it came on top of the steak and the garlic that they used was overbearing. The food is just mediocre honestly. I even asked for my burger to be medium well and it was overcooked and charge the same with my other burger that we ordered for the Child. It tasted OK the buns were not toasted but I just expected a little bit more chef quality for the cooking. The salad was good but it’s really easy to make a salad and you can’t really mess it up they can open the bag and just dump it into the plate and called a day. The lentil soup had too much cilantro in it and it was a tad under cooked you can feel the lentils were hard. They put glasses of water on the table they forgot to put the straws. When we asked about what kind of strawberry ice cream there was he just grunted and said strawberry ice cream I would really appreciate it if he made sure of the ingredients but he did not take that step I’m not gonna mention his name to embarrass him here but you should know better than to treat your customers like that. We also asked about the Greek chicken to go and he was just very brief and abrupt about it “it’s just the Greek salad I know what it is.”
The food to go was over salty and over amount of garlic in it. When you use lower grade chicken you have to compensate with garlic and salt.
I don’t feel that he was really attentive to our table I really wanted to go to Longhorn but my guests chose this place because they went there last year.
When I went to pay that was his grumpy old man with glasses on must be 70 to 80 years old he must be the owner or the big manager there I really did not like his attitude or his personality. There was another guy that came up and helped me pay he was really nice and helpful I wish I got his name he was very very nice and helpful when I asked for a bag it was like asking for a rocket ship or something I don’t understand where was the disconnect.
I really would like you guys to go there and try the place out and give your own opinion I am just saying that this is what happened when we were there.
The biggest problem that I found was the men’s bathroom smelled so bad and was not clean. I literally had to put the garbage can to open the door so the smell will come out of the bathroom. Had I gone to the bathroom first I would not of ate there at all. The customers are to blame yes if they make the place dirty or they don’t flush the toilet’s but the same time that place should be checked every 15 minutes.
The prices for the steaks were $30 I don’t think that they were worth that at most $22 going to Longhorn or outback you can get the same kind of steak and have different options of cooking it like on a wood fire which they don’t have here. We like to support a local community and non-franchise locations but at the same time I want to get great food at a decent price.
Please re-train your waiters to bring out the water and with straws ask for drinks first and then take the orders and make sure that the food comes out correct. When someone has a special request they should make the effort to get the answers that you need.
We all understand Covid hit you hard and you’re not making the money that you did in the past but that’s up to you to manage your Place of business to be 100% not to lose the...
Read moreLast weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at Park West Diner and experienced one of the most exceptional waiter services in my life. Belal, our server for the evening, left such a lasting impression on us that I feel compelled to write this review and share my experience.
From the moment we arrived, Belal greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. He promptly showed us to our table and made sure we were comfortable before diving into the intricacies of the menu. His extensive knowledge of the dishes and their ingredients was evident as he thoroughly explained each one, making it easy for us to choose the perfect meal based on our preferences.
What set Belal apart, however, was his attentive yet unobtrusive service. He struck a perfect balance between being readily available to attend to our needs and allowing us space to enjoy our dining experience. Throughout the evening, he anticipated our requests and made sure our glasses were never empty, all while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Another noteworthy aspect of Belal's service was his ability to cater to special dietary requirements. When one of my dining companions mentioned their gluten sensitivity, Belal was quick to suggest suitable options and assured us that the chef would take extra care in preparing the meal. This level of consideration is not often seen, and it made a significant difference in our overall enjoyment of the evening.
To top off an already outstanding experience, Belal's timing was impeccable. Our courses were served at a comfortable pace, and he made sure to check in with us at appropriate intervals to ensure our satisfaction with each dish. By the end of the evening, we left the restaurant feeling truly cared...
Read moreStopped here around 11am for a late breakfast on the way home from NYC. Seemed like a nice place upon entering. Clean, full and presentable pastry case, and a decent crowd. Unfortunately our expectations were notably too high as soon as we received our food. We ordered a western omelette (no mushrooms, which was repeated back to me correctly), a breakfast sandwich, sides of sausage links, and the toast and home fries that came with our meals. The omelette came out with an overload of giant pieces of mushrooms, the home fries were mush, and there was hair on my friend’s plate underneath her sandwich. The only consistent part of the meal was the toast and sausage links (albeit, the links were so big that after seeing the state of the other food I don’t feel that they were fully cooked through). Our waiter did check on us twice during our meal, but with the bustle of the crowd and the clear language barrier between us it was hard to point out the issues we were having. My friend and I also suffer from severe anxiety so we weren’t sure how to go about our complaint with any staff that didn’t have broken English. We ended up eating half the sandwich, picking around the omelette, and the toast. Having worked in food service that usually is a clear sign that something was not right but the waiter did not take notice unfortunately. Not his fault. The meal was very overpriced, and while you do get quite a large portion, it did not justify the quality of the food. It is now over 24 hrs later and the thought of food is still making us both feel sick. Something was very wrong with something we ate here. This place would do wonders on Kitchen Nightmares. Please save your money and go up the road...
