49er Flea Market — Local services in Woodland

Never again will I visit this place. As I was perusing through a very nice couple's items a horribly nasty woman approached my husband. She said "I just want to let you know that you should raise your daughter better." Apparently she claimed that my daughter had asked my husband to put an object this woman was selling in her backpack and he had. She accused my husband of "condoning stealing". I interfered and asked her what the item was and what she was talking about. She said it was a small plastic guitar. In order to prove her wrong I proceeded to show her the contents of my daughter's backpack. I said "Well, thank you very much for embarrassing my daughter and family, but as you can see there is nothing here". I do not know what her intention in unjustly accusing my husband and daughter was. She stood there with a blank expression on her face and walked away. Later, my husband told me that they hadn't even picked up any items of hers and the only time he could think of of my daughter asking him something regarding her backpack, was when she asked him to help her with her balloon which had gotten stuck on the backpack. My daughter and husband had this conversation in Spanish, clearly this woman had no idea of what they had said and she let her incorrect and morally bankrupt stereotypes guide her actions. Great People, Great Location! Local vendors with huge variety of quality new and used items. Carl has brought Auburn a free to the public and affordable to vendors regular event. The 49er Flea Market has partnered up with the Auburn Guild Hall, formerly the Grange hall, at hwy. 49 and Bell rd. Carl should be recognized for his hard work, especially in the our ongoing battle.
