āļøāļøāļøāļø Efficient, Friendly, and Way Better Than Expected!
Letās be honest ā going to the DMV isnāt usually something people look forward to. But my experience at DMV Woodland was surprisingly smooth and pleasant, which is why Iām taking the time to leave a positive review.
I made an appointment online in advance (highly recommend doing that!), and from check-in to walking out, the whole process took under 45 minutes. Thatās practically lightning speed in DMV time. The check-in kiosk was easy to use, and there were staff nearby to help anyone having trouble.
The waiting area was clean, decently spaced, and moved quickly. I was called up within 10 minutes of arrival. The staff at the counters were professional, courteous, and helpful. The person who helped me was patient, explained the documents I needed clearly, and didnāt rush me through it ā which I really appreciated. You can tell this location tries hard to keep things organized and respectful despite how busy it can get.
Parking was easy to find, and the building was well-maintained. Thereās also clear signage both inside and out, which helps take the stress out of figuring out where to go.
The only reason Iām giving four stars instead of five is because the phone lines are nearly impossible to get through ā which seems to be a statewide issue. But if you handle most things online and show up prepared, this location really makes the DMV experience way less painful than expected.
Overall, DMV Woodland is one of the better DMV offices Iāve been to. Clean facility, efficient service, and helpful staff ā what more can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you have a disability, as I do and/or you have an appointment as I did, then it won't make a bit of difference if Sarah is checking people in. I had an appointment for 10:30 and arrived at 10:15, told Sarah I had an appointment for disability plates and she said to get in line with everyone else. ???? (I had been to this office three weeks before this and a man checking customers in, did have an appointment sheet and those of us with appointments just stood to the side and let him know we had appointments.) Yes there is a sign hanging from the ceiling that states One Line, but there is also a sign hanging from the ceiling that states Appointments and Disabilities. At 10:45 it was finally my turn to get a number from Sarah, 15 minutes past my appointment time. I asked her if there is any consideration any more for people with disabilities and appointments and she said "NO, just one line and everyone in the same line and then she laughed." Sarah's attitude is "To Bad." It's difficult for me to stand so long in line, but I had no choice. DMV claims online that they help and make allowances for people with disabilities, but Sarah doesn't, which is a violation of the law. Having an appointment, having a disability, should mean something, but not to Sarah. I sure hope management at that office isn't supporting her actions, if there even is any real management...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had no appointment, but took a number and waited to pay for the registration of my truck. After two hours, I though it was taking even longer than usual, and it was. The manager, Manual, talked to me after everybody else (not employees, the public) had left to tell me I'd need to go to Power Inn Rd, and clear up some unknown concern . He didn't explain. I went the next day to Power Inn Rd. And learned from DMV detectives that Manual was very cautious ( this sounded like a nice way to say ' we don't know what he is talking about') and I could renew regististeation on my truck -no problem . I made an appointment for my next visit to Woodland, and asked to speak to Manual, if possible. He again had me wait far longer than anybody else visiting DMV that day, and when I asked him why there was so much trouble renewing my truck registration, he said it was because I didn't bring the money. I couldn't believe my ears . I'd only been trying to pay the damn thing all along. I again waited til the end of the entire DMV day, and paid my renewal. Altogether it was about 12 hours and forty miles too much for what I was trying to accomplish. Manual is an undertrained uninformed altogether unhelpful (if not WEIRD) DMV manager. Don't go to Woodland DMV, OR don't talk to MANUAL, if you...
