Some of the best Mexican pan dulce on this side of the border! My experience of pan dulce is from the Mexican heartland of Guanajuato where my family is from and this comes real close. We love the palmeras and the empanadas dulces. The mantecadas are also highly recommended. Best to go on the weekend, to early when the pan is fresh and the smells invite you to eat as many pastries as you can handle.

Very disappointed that we got a rancid and stale tasting cake. My mom got my brother and I tres leches cake for each one of us to celebrate our birthday this past Dec 31st. One of the cakes was dry, the frosting tasted old and rancid. I was really looking forward to having a good slice of tres leches cake for my birthday but that certainly wasn't the case! My mom felt so embarrassed about the whole thing. But what's upsetting is that they had the audacity to sell her an old stale cake...

It's okay. Most pastries I saw looked like they had either been left in the oven too long or not long enough. When I finally settled on some things, I didn't taste the "freshness" everyone else is talking about. They did have a big selection, but not many things that looked appetizing.
