I bowl in two leagues at this house. It might be fine for a recreational or casual bowler, but for league bowlers, it sucks. The lanes are frequently not prepped or oiled for several days, and when they have problems with the lane machine, they have gone weeks without oiling the lanes. Lanes are often down for weeks or months because they won't buy the parts to fix them and they keep no routine spares in stock. There is no formal training of the staff and turnover is so high among the desk personnel that they cannot do the simplest tasks or correct the simplest problems on the computer scoring system or with the lanes. The approaches are often sticky and unsafe, and the seating areas are often dirty, with spilled drink stains and residue. They often have no mechanic on duty and the desk personnel are expected to handle mechanical problems in the lane machinery as well as serve patrons at the bar. The house balls are old, and drilled either small, medium or large, basically guaranteed to not fit anyone properly. The owner knows nothing about either bowling or business and his attitude appears to be that you get whatever he offers and should be happy with it, no matter what. He treats his employees terribly in front of customers - he actually fired a manager right in front of me for no apparent discernible reason - and does not speak English well. His response to any complaint is to get angry and yell at the speaker. Two years ago we got all the league officials together and tried to have a frank meeting about problems and fixes. Things got better for awhile, then went back to as bad or worse, the first time the lane...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty bad first impression going to this bowling alley. From the moment you walk in you're surrounded by negativity, signs from the moment you walk in telling you all the things you CAN'T do, and repeating themselves on even more signs everywhere. And the staff will then tell you what you can't do. For example, I've never had a business say you couldn't bring water in. If they're concerned about people smuggling in alcohol or their own non water drinks, then check the bottles... I bring my water with me everywhere. Furthermore, they then charge you for a pitcher of water. Next gripe was when both of our lanes were down for at least 10 minutes because of stuck balls. We continued to go up to staff to let them know, then waited for a fix. When someone finally came down to fix it, they didn't say anything about extending the time we bought on those lanes so we went to go ask if our time could be extended. Their response wasn't customer-centric, it was defensive saying the lanes weren't down that long and "we'll see" if it's needed when we finish our game. Then they said they'd add 10 minutes to one of the lanes š³ i just couldn't believe the level of customer service at this place. They did add 10 minutes to both of our lanes but we were just appalled with our experience. We won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally unfortunate how run down this place has become. The āmanagerā was super rude . I felt bad for the young boys that were working there. They were really great but i felt like the manager just couldn't be bothered. The ābartenderā seemed lost just getting bottled drinks from the cooler. The shoes are dang near falling apart and the bowling balls are beat up and not in good condition at all. The place seems like it hasn't had a decent clean in quite some time. A good carpet shampoo and floor cleaning would go a long ways. Sad to see this place does not have a functional restaurant or food service anymore. The only option for food was hot dogs that looked like they had been on the rotisserie for a few days. It was pretty sad that the young kids working there had better customer service skills than the...
