I love the idea of this place, the location is super cute. We walked in with high hopes.
The interior hasn't changed much from when it was the Public House, but that works for what it is. Loved the old time feel of the wooden bar. However that is where the nostalgia ended...
When we came in, we didn't see any menus or signage with information about the shakes. The staff did not greet us, they seemed overwhelmed by their tasks. We didn't know if we should sit down or order at the bar so we went to the bar. We found photos of the shakes with no descriptions at the corner, they were strewn everywhere and sticky. The girls were too involved in trying to keep up to take our order, they seemed to be bumping into one another and unsure of themselves. After about 5 minutes, one of them said she would be with me soon. We were patient, I didn't want to make her more nervous than she already was. Finally, the owner/manager came from the back and took my order. $29 for two shakes and a rootbeer... kinda steep, but we were here for the experience. I don't know what monster shakes are supposed to cost, but it did feel like a lot.
After we ordered we sat down. One of the girls immediately came to the table and asked if we wanted to order, which we told her we already did and repeated what we ordered. She was still so stressed, i felt bad for her. Behind the bar we saw the boxes of the treats that were added to all the shakes, I feel they could be displayed better for easier access and it would look nicer. Maybe in glass containers with a lid, unwrapped so it's easier to get to?? The tables could use napkin dispensers and maybe a flip stand menu.
When we got the shakes, they were just as impressive as the photos. The shakes were not as thick as I hoped they would be, almost soupy. It would be cool if the mugs were frosty too... just a thought. But that might not be easy to accomplish with the space behind the bar. Also, no rootbeer floats?? At least I couldn't tell from the menu...
Overall, I loved the idea and with a few improvements and staff training and practice, it has potential to be a great addition...

I recently stumbled upon an incredible little place in Woodstock that deserves all the praise it can get. Initially, I discovered it on Facebook back in October but lost track of itāuntil fate (or rather, a generous act) led me back. When I saw a post about them donating 15% of the pre-tax total to Theatre 121, I knew it was time to finally check it out.
And wow, what a find! This charming spot offers a variety of gourmet popcorn flavors and shakes that are nothing short of edible masterpieces. These arenāt just ordinary shakes; theyāre full-blown works of art.
I indulged in their peanut butter shake, an extravagant creation topped with a large peanut butter cookie, three Nutter Butter cookies, a Nutter Butter wafer, peanut butter, and crushed nuts lining the rim of the glass. It was pure peanut butter bliss! My mom opted for the sāmores shake, which looked equally decadent and delicious.
Beyond the incredible treats, the atmosphere is inviting, and the owner truly brings the space to life. His warm, welcoming nature makes you feel like a guest rather than just a customer, and the effort heās put into the setup is remarkable. You can see the passion behind every detail, from the playful decor to the creative menu offerings.
Their generosity toward the local theatre community speaks volumes about their heart. Whether youāre craving a unique snack or just want to experience a sweet escape, this place is absolutely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were excited to try this new spot. Most everything was great. The 2 young girls working were terrific, the presentation of the milkshakes was great as well, and we loved the location.
However, just a few small notes to improve. The shakes need to be a lot thicker than the ones we got and it needs a little more ice cream as well. Also, the items that are put into the shakes should be hidden behind the counter. It was fine that the extras were what we thought they'd be but as a customer I don't want to see the boxes and containers they came in (Icould be a minority in this) . I also think maybe some other drinks like soda and small snacks might be a good idea as well.
Again it was a great experience, but I wanted to provide feedback for the establishment to stay open. I...
