Firstly, I understand that there is a pharmaceutical epidemic going on in the United States, but it is not fair, to treat those of us, who are legitimately in constant pain, and have conditions where the only cure is open brain surgery that could cause paralysis, deafness, or other unwanted side effects. I have a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is and extremely painful condition, that feels like I have a razor blade stuck in my gums, 365 days out of the year. I have tried many different pain medications over the last 13 years that I have had this condition, and to avoid major, unwanted side effects, I am on specific medication, that works for me, and I do not overuse it, give it away, sell it, or anything of the sort. However, for the last two years that I have been receiving medication from this Pharmacy, the Pharmacists, and the techs, have treated me like I am an addict, a pill seeker, and other things. Why would I ever give anyone my medication, that only is prescribed to me every 30 days, and only takes a little bit of the edge of my pain off, just enough for me to be able to live a normal life, and enjoy my family time, allowing me to concentrate at work, on projects, and the like? Not only are they rude at this Pharmacy, and treat me and other people like addicts, but they have constantly screwed up my prescriptions in regards to timing, constantly giving me the runaround when trying to pick up my prescriptions, they do not pay attention to doctors notes, Insurance notes, and they don't even seem to keep track of dates that I have picked up medication from their Pharmacy. The Walgreens in Woodstock, is absolutely the worst Pharmacy I have ever been to or pick up medication from. I recommend that no one gives them business, until their staff is retrained, for better customer support, and interaction, and they are trained to have sympathy, and empathy, for their patients. I have recently changed pharmacies for all of my medications. When I stopped in at my new Pharmacy, to register my insurance & discuss my medications with them, I mentioned to the Pharmacist that I have Trigeminal Neuralgia. The pharmacist immediately said to me, "Say no more, I understand." They filled it with no problems, no runaround, no questions asked, and they were polite, understanding,...
Read moreI would give negative starts if I could! The pharmacy manager here has a severe ego problem and God for if you take a controlled prescription because be ready to be treated like a piece of garbage by the pharmacy manager. He will mess with you even when your Dr. Calls to verify everything! Be prepared because even if you are robbed and your prescription is stolen from you, you file a police report, and the pharmacy manager speaks with the police and verifies everything, he won't let you get the refill your Dr. Calls in and tells the pharmacy to fill. The pharmacy manager will tell you it's your fault your prescriptions are stolen and you should have taken better care of them. Which is crazy because I guarantee if someone were to break into his car and steal anything he has in there or the car itself he'll blame the thief! He is unprofessional to the highest degree! On top of all that they will make up problems or rules just to push off filling your prescription when they are busy! Even at the emergency room different dr.s cringe when you say Walgreens in Woodstock! After arguing with the pharmacist about filling a prescription he goes and cancels another prescription that was ready and the insurance covered. Just to try to be rude and show he has the power! Its crazy! My husband being a veteran will be letting all the vets he works with and runs into at various veteran organizations to not go to/fill their prescriptions at Walgreens due to the treatment he received and to help other veterans that may take a controlled prescription avoid the same harassment and stigma that he received. I would keep an eye on your sales in the pharmacy Walgreens because they are about to go down at this Walgreens thank to your pharmacy manager!! Worst pharmacy manager ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From what I looked up in Illinois a pharmacist cannot refuse to fill a valid prescription just because it's stolen and is a controlled prescription. He cannot refuse to fill it which seems to me then he's...
Read moreHonestly, I would give them 0 stars if I didn't want to leave a caution for anyone considering using this Walgreens pharmacy. I needed to get to the doctor's office yesterday before they closed and knew it would be tight after work, but needed to pick up specific medication they were to instruct me to use at my appointment. I called in the early afternoon and was told they could fill my prescription, but never got confirmation of it being filled. When I called before leaving work, they confirmed it should have been filled two hours ago, but wasn't and told me the standard 15 minutes routine. I get there, it's going to be another 15 minutes. I remind them I need to take it to my appointment and ask them to please hurry. They delay another 20 minutes to tell me they don't actually carry it in stock. I ask them to call another pharmacy to see if they can fill it and they proceed to stand there just saying "I'm going to call" for several more minutes, yes just standing there doing nothing else but tell me they're going to call, not calling. Another person in line spoke up annoyed with this behavior. Then it's a constant "oops, they hung up" game while wasting my time. Finally they find one that can fill it and begin to write out the address for me only to scratch it out and start over, then try to delay me further to show me on their phone where it is. When I get to the other pharmacy, they can't fill my prescription because this one marked it filled. I have no doubt this was intentionally done to delay me again. Needless to say, didn't make the appointment. Don't waste...
