Brookshire Brothers — Local services in Woodville

Brookshire Brothers in Woodville has really gone downhill in the last year. I don’t know if they have gotten a new manager or what but when we go in there, it’s nothing but trashy! There is trash everywhere on the ground in the baskets And when you go to get the trash out of the basket to actually throw it in the trashcan, the trashcan is overflowing. The meat market there’s blood on the shelves underneath where you lift a container of meat. When I arrived at Brookshire Brothers, I went to retrieve a basket and there was a bunch of trash and both baskets that were available. I took some trash out of the one basket I grabbed and try to put it in a trashcan that was overflowing with trash someone needed to take the trash out and put a new bag in, but it was obviously not done. Then I felt the need to wipe my hands, so I grabbed a disinfectant wipe at the door, wiped my hands and put the wipe in the basket when I was done shopping I looked for a trashcan to throw the wipe into. I could not find an available trashcan in the store. I then asked the cashier and she rolled her eyes like I was such an inconvenience and proceeded to tell me that there was a trashcan at the door outside of the store. I then told her it was full and overflowing with garbage. She was very rude and unprofessional. This makes me not want to come back to Brookshire Brothers. The way I was treated and the filthiness of this store is a disgrace...

So we went to a Brookshire Brothers grocery store in Woodville. We got just a few things including a 4-pack of monster energy drinks. As soon as we got to the check out the cashier noticed that we were buying the monster drinks and made a point to ignore me when i said hello and asked how she was today, she then asked, "You know what this means right?" Refuring to the symbol on the box. Denton replied, "Yeah but its not true." She then said, "Well it means that you worship the devil...im religious to i dont agree with the company using the symbol as their logo." As i was listening to her annoying opinion i started to get frustrated so i said, "Well im not religious and its just a energy drink, it does not mean you worship the devil and its simply a logo that is supposed to look like a claw mark...

The store itself, in Woodville Texas , was nice and organized. The checkers and butchers that we delt with were all helpful, friendly and very personable. The Deli on the other hand , was both a disgrace and an utter disappointment. We could smell the chicken from the parking lot. Our mouths were watering and stomachs rumbling in anticipation. One look at the unclean conditions(i.e.thick buildup of old grease around the doors)of the glass display that held the hot food totally killed our appetite for chicken. If the part of deli that customers can see looks that bad, what does the rest of the kitchen look like? Wish I had taken pictures. I know the Mgr is very busy this time of year.
