I always have a pleasant experience at this location! Yes, there isn’t usually enough staff to accommodate peak times but that’s not the fault of the employees themselves. DG is known for running on a skeleton crew in order to not pay anymore money than they see necessary. I think people need to remind themselves of that and take their complaints to the higher-ups rather than the employee(s) that are working without breaks (just my two pennies).
I did want to add that Dollar General DOES NOT OFFER WESTERN UNION SERVICES ANYMORE. It still shows up on Google as being a Western Union site but, alas, that is no longer the case.
I also called the Hamptonville location and they don’t have Western Union, either. I’m going to assume that this rings true for ALL Dollar...

When she walked off the employee said “you need to get her to take this one back”. My reply was “It is broken, why would you put it back on the shelf?” She told me she would let her manager know that it was broken and it was on the shelf. Employees carry on conversations with each other while ringing you up, often using profanity and complaining about their job. Beer cooler is near empty most days and has a very limited selection the days that it is full. Store doesn't have automatic doors, it's not a big deal but it is annoying when leaving the store with a cart. If they weren't so cheap I would never shop...
