Candigurlz — Local services in Yakima

I had just moved to Yakima and didn't have a place to get my lashes done, but Facebook kept recommending Candi Gurlz so I decided to give them a try.

I signed up to get a lash lift and tint in August because I've never had lash extensions before and I wanted to see how just a lift and tint would look. The main issue I had with my appointment was that the girl doing my lashes had never done them before. I did not know this before my appointment and found out as she was asking the other girls in the salon basic questions about the procedure. She suggested to another girl that she tint my lashes with a "medium brown" color because I was so blonde, but never asked me personally what I wanted. Thankfully the other girl explained that people don't get their lashes tinted a slightly darker color - they want the look of mascara! My eyes were basically glued shut for two hours and she didn't say anything to me, I could hear her nails typing on her phone next to my head- this was incredibly uncomfortable. Despite never doing this procedure before, she quickly dispelled the burning sensation in my eyes by simply replying, "yeah, that's normal.". After the procedure, I asked about if I could wash my face before I went to bed (because I knew perms couldn't get wet before 24 hours) and she said that it was fine.

I ultimately decided to never go here again because I had such a negative experience. I went to a competing salon in the area to have the same service done (lift and tint) and found out that my lashes were horribly damaged from my lift and tint at Candi Gurlz two months earlier. People rave about the lash extensions here, but I wouldn't recommend the lift and tint, they are unexperienced with this service and ended up permanently...

Worse place anyone can get their eyelash extensions done! The appointment set up was a bad experience. They have lash techs with no experience and those are the ones they set you up with if you’re a new client. Went in for a volume set and came out with a swollen eye full of lash glue and clumps and looking like I needed a fill already! The next day I had to get the eyelashes removed because of how bad they were applied! If I could rate them at 0 stars I would!!! I do NOT recommend this...

This is such a welcoming and fun shop and boutique! Went in and picked up the cutest, most comfy romper, for an amazing deal!! They have such cute pieces and something for every size!!! Cute and on trend pieces that are afforable, plus the owner is sweet and totally put up with my 3 crazy kids being with! Totally going back to pick up more cute summer outfits, maybe without...
