El Rinconsito I Yakima Nob Hill — Restaurant in Yakima

One of the worst experiences I have had!!! Was there last night and had the worst service. We ordered the 3 Taco plate specials (4 tacos and drink) at about 10:55 pm. My friend and I got our orders in a timely manner but my husband's order was not served with ours. We waited a bit before we started to eat, waiting to see if his would be brought out. At about 11:25 pm, I approached the counter, and told the cashier we were still waiting on an order of tacos, and that I was pretty sure she had given them to another table. She asked me what we had ordered. A few min. later the table that had gotten our order returned the order of tacos b/c it was not what he had ordered. This table got their replacement tacos out within 5 min. We still waited... at about 11:35 pm again we told them we were still waiting (my friend and I were done eating by then). Finally at about 11:45 pm the shift "manager" came out with our order and said "oh... what did you order...???". Yep, our order was wrong!!! 45+ min wait, to get a wrong order... My husband said you know what I will take them we have a 2 hr drive still we can't wait another 45 min. NEVER going back to this...

I've been to several Rinconsitio's out here in Seattle/ Burien area. It's always the same here, rude people, and rude service, especially when they find out you don't speak Spanish. No hate... I have Spanish heritage but.. that is generations long before my great×3 grandparents. So when they try to talk to me and I'm like no sorry I usually get treated bad. Anyway... we got to Yakima late and this was pretty much the only place open 1am. It was CLEAN... I was greeted with a "Hello, welcome" I didn't get the name of the young lady that took our order, but she was kind, friendly and totally made us feel welcomed. Everyone there made us feel welcomed. Food was excellent. We all got tacos carne asada 😋 usually is the left over meat, lots of fat on it... but these tacos were pure meat... lol sounds funny, but we all enjoyed our last dinner. You know, I think if more places, just had the excellent service that we got, not just there but other places more people would go in. It wouldn't really be for the food but because your treated right. So yes I do recommend going here if you're...

I called Rinconsito Restaurant at 11:40 PM on 9/3/25 to place a phone order. The restaurant closes at 12:00 AM, so I thought I had plenty of time. When I asked if I could order, the girl who answered said she had to check with her manager first. She came back and told me I could order as long as I picked it up before 12 and if I was actually going to come. I explained that I was only about 7 minutes away.

Then she told me they would not make my food until I got there. This completely defeats the purpose of placing a phone order, which is to call ahead so the food is ready when you arrive. I don’t have time to sit in the drive-thru waiting for food they could have already started. At that point, I told her to cancel my order. She then tried to convince me by saying the food I ordered doesn’t take long to cook, I am on a timed lunch and do not have time to waste by waiting on food that could’ve been prepared as soon as I ordered.

Very disappointing experience! If they aren’t going to prepare food until you arrive, there’s no point in offering phone...
