When in Yakima, El Parrilon Loco De Tom & Jerry is a MUST try. I have been here twice while visiting for a conference and I can't keep this secret to myself any more. Tom and Jerry's has a huge wood fired grill out front, grilling spatchcocked chickens over lump oak coal so the taste of the chicken is fantastic due to the natural smoke. Both times I have visited, I came with co-workers so we'd split a whole chicken and it comes with 12 fresh, handmade tortillas, and rice and beans. In addition to their amazing grilled whole chicken, they have a bevy of tacos to choose from. Both times, in addition to splitting the chicken with my coworkers, I ordered for myself 2 carne asada tacos as well as 2 al pastor. They have a condiments bar that has sauces galore, ranging from a sweet and spicy peanut sauce to a hot sauce that I couldn't even speak of without breaking out in sweat. I highly recommend that you check this place out if you...
Read moreI should've taken a picture but was so disgusted I had to get out of there fast. My son said his asada did not taste good, his beans weren't good and with me not having good taste buddies continued to eat. He asked for to go boxes and they gave him one dirty one and one clean one. So we scraped all the food into 1 container. When I flipped the tortillas into the box they mold on the bottom and not just a little bit. He flipped through all of them and each 1 had mold on them. I couldn't see because I didn't have my glasses on while eating. That is the first and last time I'll ever eat there. And no I couldn't complain to the workers because only 1 spoke English and he wasn't around. Responding back, I doubt it. The mold was green, not black and like I said...I wish I would've taken a picture of it. But I'm guessing all the tortillas were reused...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place. The pictures looked amazing. Outside, on every window and door were signs posted which read "Mask Required". When we entered though, no one had a mask on. The entire staff didn't wear a mask. The cashier had an ear bud in and couldn't here me say my name. Instead of contact-less ordering, I had to hand him my credit card. As we ordered, a customer with no mask on bumped into me while throwing his trash away, only to sit back down at the table he was sitting at (not the staff's fault). When our order was ready, a worker brought it outside to us and handed it to us - with no mask on. The food was amazing. Delicious! I would give it five stars but the rice fell a little short on flavor for me and the lack of face-masks made me feel like they cared about my business, not my health/safety which means not me,...
