The staffing is unorganized, the website is unorganized, human resources is unorganized and rude , the staff is rude and mean ,gym policies are weird, wrong, and immoral and different compared to other gyms around here, management isn't good and is rude, they got rid of all the vending machines, fishing tournaments and the snack bar from few years ago. One time when me and my family who are indian asked for a boat, they asked us for our id's but never the American people id. I got rejected after applying for a job here three times and I was more available than the other candidates. They cut their work force and number of employees. They got rid of the paddle exercise boat. They got rid of swim lessons. They hired a less experienced friend of mine over a more experienced friend of mine. They got rid of lifeguard training. They got rid of swim lessons for kids. They don't notify people who were rejected after applying for the job, they don't notify people of new job openings. Their app is not good. Two of the employees bullied me. A lot of people who used to go to the east lake gym switched to other gyms such as LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Curl Fitness, Anytime Fitness, or Fanatics because of their weird policies. The community is beautiful looking. I wanted to rent out a boat, but they didn't let me but let two twins and their friend rent out the boat after me. They said they were hiring for lifeguards because they were short on lifeguards and my friend and his brother applied for a lifeguard position and only his brother got the position. Whenever a regular employee is absent and no employee is available, the head manager or the head of management who hires and fires and security guard takes over the shift, instead of getting more employees. They don't let guests and non residents with fishing liscences to fish by themshelves. They should make residents fish here by themshelves without a liscence and let non residents fish here with a liscence by themshelves. Non residents can only fish here with a resident regardless if they have a fishing...
Read moreEast Lake Village is a great place to live. My family and I have lived here since 1987 and love it. There are 3 pools, one of which is Olympic size. Swim lessons are offered during the summer for kids. Certain hours during the summer a lifeguard is on duty. We have a gym, a clubhouse where activities are held for residents throughout the year. Kids can borrow board games & various sports balls to use on the premises. After taking a one-time lesson and paying a fee residents, over 18 years I think, are allowed to borrow boats to drive around the lake. Christmas time we have a boat parade, a pooch parade in July, bingo games, trips to see Pageant of the Masters. More activities than I can list here. The grounds are well kept and the association fees are well below what other communities are charged for only landscape upkeep. It's just a great place to live, raise a family and meet...
Read moreI recently was the DJ at this venue for a private event. I was impressed with this hidden gem. It’s small and intimate, with a beautiful view of the lake. It can probably use some remodeling, but I’m sure you can get it for a good rate as well. I did hear my clients had issues using the over to heat up the food, so I bumped them down for that and the overall look of the venue itself being outdated a little. But parking was convenient, beautiful views, and I’m sure you can get a great price for the night. Catering service was not available...
