
This annual event is one of the best ways to see holiday lights in Yorba Linda. You can choose to walk, drive, or if you or someone you know is part of the East Lake Village HOA you can rent a boat and check out all the lights from the water! If you walk or drive you can go down each street in the lake community and they all have a different theme which keeps it interesting(one street in particular had a game of finding gnomes which kept the kids busy for a while). If you have small children I recommend bringing a wagon and maybe some hot chocolate and treats because although the lake is only about a mile around, once you start going down every street and dealing with the traffic(it is a popular destination) the whole thing could take more than an hour to complete. If you do choose to drive, you'll have to do so very slowly as you'll be navigating through crowds of people who are walking so if you can I think the best way to experience it if you can't go on a boat is the walking route. Virtually every single home is classily and scintillatingly decorated. Each canal-side street is synchronized with a different Christmas motif. The masterfully coordinated array of lights rivals that of Disneyland.
