Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Yucaipa

Horrible customer service experience. Walked in 3 hours before closing, no one greeted us or smiled, all the employees gave us a nasty stare. Lady at the deli didn't greet us and asked us bluntly what we wanted. Seemed like they pretended to be already closed when they close in 2 hours. We wanted a sandwich combo, which comes with a drink and a side salad for $7.99 total. She said that she didn't understand the sandwich combo we asked for. We explained that it's right on the menu board, but she did not seem to know the menu at all. We wanted the nr. 3 sandwich combo the way it came on the menu, but she somehow kept asking what we wanted on it. We had to read her the menu. To make matters more confusing and frustrating, she said that she does not do the combo sides and we had to go all the way to the cashiers to get it (which doesn't make sense at all since all the sides where right there at the deli). The cashiers called the deli for an explanation but got none to give us. The cashier said that the cashiers aren't in charge of 'sides and drinks', which makes sense. We walked out with a custom-sort-of sandwich we didn't asked for and no interest in our problem. Will do my shopping at Vons from...

You know, I always told myself. "I like Stater Bros. because they're better than Vons and Ralphs." But you know what? I was completely wrong. They're the exact same now.

Their produce has never been good. Always "ripe" when in reality, they're decomposing. Rotten. I've gotten countless rotten fruits and veggies from this place.

That didn't stop me because their beef was very well priced. At first, Chuck Eye's were $2.99. Then they went up to $4.99. Now they're up to a whopping $7.99.

They're greedy to the point they raised the price of water gallons from $0.99 to $1.39. Really? The water?

What's disgusting is they use the tactic of gaining the consumer's trust and loyalty before completely betraying us. But of course "inflation" is the cause of the price raise. Not the greedy Stater Bros. raising the prices to take advantage and cause more inflation, right?

They're just another big brand piece of trash super store. Going back to Vons now. Oh well. Not like a good thing like reasonably priced beef would last forever.

Love this location . Staff is friendly and speedy with checkout. Managers never have a problem jumping in at registers when lines or long or other positions when things are slow. On yesterday's visit I literally saw one employee by the name of frank , pushing carts in the parking lot when a customer has an issue on her review missing an item so he runs and gets it for her . By that time I'm getting out of my car and he's pushing another row of carts back to the store, he offers me a cart when I tell him I noticed his good customer service with the lady about her receipt. I go into the store , do my shopping and am getting to check-out, the lines are long as heck . I then see the same employee from before in the parking lot. Open a register and divert the traffic over to that checkout stand . I end up in his line and checkout faster then the lady I was 2 people behind in the other line. Thanks frank , for going above...
