Out of the Box — Local services in Zeeland

The proprietor of Out of the Box is very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to vaguely describe a game we had only heard of one time and the owner was able to correctly determine the game we wanted (Mage Knight) and had it in stock! Additionally, she was able to direct us to a number of cooperative games, a sub-genre we had only recently discovered, is not typically available, and wanted to explore deeply. With her assistance, we were able to chose from several titles and secure a great game.

The store has an excellent selection of titles in stock. Several popular games with their expansion sets were in stock, including Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, and Pandemic. We had heard of some of the games available but never had we seen them in a store, let alone all together and with their expansions. If you are looking to expand your board game collection, go no further than Out of the Box.

The shop is family friendly. In fact, we had initially entered the store because they have a great selection of kids games and activity books. This store is my favorite in all of downtown Zeeland. They have everything for tabletop gaming from the latest in board games to individual pieces for play. In addition to board games they have a fantastic jigsaw puzzle selection and tons of options for kids games, toys and crafts at a variety of price points. This is our go to place to shop for birthday presents for my kids birthday parties. The store is always clean and organized, staff are helpful and friendly. I love that they offer games on consignment and that they have space for you to play in store. Truly an asset to our little community. Great place to go to get board games and puzzles. Tables set up to play games. Great selection, more games than you'd expect. I'd recommend to check it out if you get a chance, it won't disappoint. It's not the cheapest place but it's not ridiculous, you just have to look at it as you are helping a local company and you don't have to wait for a delivery.
