Buckle up, fellow foodies, because StrEATs Taco Kitchen is a culinary joyride that navigates the streets of flavor with skillful finesse. I embarked on a taco adventure that sent my taste buds into a whirlwind of ecstasy, and let me tell you, it was a fiesta of epic proportions.
First up, the Philly Cheese Steak taco. It's like a culinary skyscraper, stacked high with shaved seasoned steak, bell peppers, and yellow onions, all under the cozy embrace of American cheese in a soft flour tortilla. Every bite is a taste explosion that celebrates the carnivorous cravings with a symphony of flavors.
Then, we ventured into the Smoky Mountain BBQ territory, a realm where pulled pork, bacon, and honey ham unite with the Southern golden BBQ sauce, signature slaw, and crispy onions, all cradled by a corn tortilla. It's a BBQ bonanza that takes your taste buds on a smoke-kissed journey through the mountains of deliciousness.
But the true hero of this flavor parade was the BBQ Pork Mac & Cheese taco. Imagine the smoky allure of smoked pulled pork, harmoniously mingling with sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. This is all topped with homemade Southern-style mac & cheese, boasting a crunchy herb bread crumb topping and scallions. It's a gourmet mac & cheese fiesta in a flour tortilla that dances on your tongue with every bite. An absolute masterpiece.
The inviting atmosphere at StrEATs Taco Kitchen is like a warm embrace from the bustling streets, making you feel right at home while taking your taste buds on a globetrotting adventure. And let's not forget the friendly staff, the culinary compasses of this delectable journey, who ensure your taco experience is top-notch.
Now, onto the tots – these little bites of heaven are the perfect street-side companions, crispy, golden, and downright addictive.
In conclusion, StrEATs Taco Kitchen is a treasure trove of flavor where every taco tells a story, and every bite is a chapter of culinary bliss. With the BBQ Pork Mac & Cheese taco reigning as a culinary king, and the friendly staff as your culinary tour guides, this place is a must-visit for any taco connoisseur. Read moreWe have been to Streats one other time and it was decent, but our most recent visit will likely be our last. Quite pricy for such small portions. We spent almost $50 for 2 people.
Service was extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes total because they got part of our order wrong. All the employees looked to be high school or college age. Nothing wrong with that, but there was no real leadership or direction behind the counter because of that. There were many employees but they were mostly standing around and chatting. Also seemed to be prioritizing filling online orders, despite multiple dine in patrons waiting for food.
Tables were not wiped off. Floors were messy. Trash cans hadn’t been wiped down, lots of food and sauce spilled around them.
To top it off, a group of college aged kids walked in as we were eating with a “service dog” shihtzu. Wish I was kidding. If your dog is sniffing everything, wandering off, bothering people, and you have to pick it up and set it on the bench next to you…yeah, I doubt that’s a service dog. Wish businesses would confront people who try to get away with bringing pets/emotional support animals into businesses. An ESA is NOT the same as a trained medical service dog. This is the second time I’ve experienced this at a business in Zeeland.
This place has potential but we won’t be back for all of the...
Read moreFantastic food! I was blown away by the tremendous choices here. Want Mexican? They have it in a taco. Want Korean? They have it in a taco. Cheeseburgers? Italian? BBQ? All tacos there! They offer tortilla chips as well as fresh made crispy tater tots and custom dipping sauces. Everything I've tried here was delicious! Minor warning: if they say it's spicy, it's SPICY!
Updated October 2022:
They have expanded their menu and have a good kids' menu now. They also offer seasonal mocktails, churros, and a few other extras. They only have a couple of traditional Mexican tacos and they don't have much in the way of other Mexican food, so you might want to keep that in mind. One of their custom sauces contains peanut, so if you have a food allergy in the family, be aware. I've been told by others they are really good at dealing with allergies if...
