Hidden gem in Riau, such a well-maintained museum with a lot of wonderful collections and such an entertaining tour guide we've ever had. Siak kingdom was a very wealthy royal and the Sultans were highly educated in Europe & were in good relation with the Dutch empire queen. The architecture and collections themselves are very enjoyable to look at, mostly when the young and bright local guide called Akbar was storytelling with the history. A perfect match, both entertaining and educating. The entrance fee is only 10k for adults and 5k for children. The small town is very clean and tidy in extreme level, the atreets are very wide and the urban arrangement is well-planned for future development. New development to attract tourists are coming along the big river such as skywalk - bridge with glass, some heritage spots such as Datuk Pesisir House, Dutch Tangsi, all very well-preserved. They provide wooden boat to travel along the river in a very reasonable price of 15k per person. Such a great experience. Walking in this town reminds me of historical town of Penang, all in good cleanliness and local pride spirit. I believe Siak will be a new travel destination in Riau. Salute to the local government with his great vision of the town.

Visited the most heritage palace in Sumatra, Istana Asserayah El Hasyimiah in Siak Sri Indrapura, Riau. You can buy the ticket on the opposite right outside Siak Sri Indrapura Palace. As we know before, there are no significant changes in this palace, but I am happy because I got new knowledge from the guides who was very informative and active in accompanying visitors. In addition, I highlight the condition of the outside of the palace which is currently being renovated into a pedestrian area. This is a sign of attention from the local government, because if public vehicles continue to pass, then the maintenance of the palace will require more effort. With special facilities only for pedestrian areas, the palace will be better maintained, beautiful and comfortable for residents and tourists to enjoy.

The palace has been turn into a museum. A great collection of artefacts and stuff that once belonged to the Sultan of Riau are displayed here. The Riau Sultanate has a close ties with the empire of Johor lama in Malaysia. It is a most underated tourist attraction and should be given more exposure. The palace is well maintained and very tidy, done in the most professional way. Most residence of Siak today are of Malay origin, thus they share very similar dialects with the people of Malaysia. A great piece of history of The Riau Sultanate province. Must visit. Admission ticket is nominal, even for foreigners like 7s idr25,000.

Istana siak adalah Istana peninggalan Kerajaan Siak. Kerajaan siak ini adalah kerajaan Islam yg mayoritas penduduknya adalah suku Melayu. Didalam Istana hal yg pertama kita lihat adalah patung2 yg tampak sprti lagi rapat Seorang Raja dengan panglima perang dan para pemimpin pasukan. Ada juga mitos mengenai anak tangga. Jika kita naik kelantai 2. Coba hitung anak tangga. Setelah sampai atas tanya teman mu atau rombongan lain yg ikut menghitng. Coba cocokkan apakah hasilnya sama atau tidak. Hal ini sudah terjadi pada saya. Disamping itu hal yg palingg misterius adalah. Berangkas Yg terbuat dari besi sepeninggalan Raja siak yg tak bisa dibuka siapapun hingga saat ini. Brangkas trsebut beratnya mencapai 300 kg. Bagi kalian yg bisa membuka brangkas trsebut akan mendapatkan hadiah. Karena sampai saat ini masih diadakan sayembara bagi yg bisa membuka brangkas trsebut. Tp hati2 bro. Org yg berilmu tinggi saja terpental ketika baca2 mantra untuk membuka brangkas trsebut. Ada juga dengan cara scanning untuk melihat apa iai brangkas trsebut. Tp tetap hasilnua nihil. Padahal alat tersebut mampu menscan objek dengan kedalaman 2 meter. Namun men scan brangkas yg berukuran ketebalan beberapa cm saja tidak mendapatkan hasil hahahaha. Makin percaya gk percaya deh kalian. Apalagi kalau melihat baju kebal/rompi anti peluru. Berbahan kain tipis. Namun anti peluru. Makin gleng2 kepala liat rompi begtu. Tp itu la sejarah. Percaya gk percaya kita harus tetap menghargai dan melestarikan sejarah.. Karena zaman now dengan zaman dulu memang beda. Org dulu unurnya panjang2 bnyak ilmu kebal juga mistik kuat. Zaman now bnyk generasi tiktok wkwkwkwk.. So bagi temen2 yg mau kemari. Silahkn. Dsni gk cuma istana aja yg ada. Diluar juga ada sungai jantan yangg kece badaii.

Siak Palace located in Siak Regency, Riau, is a testament to the historical relics of the largest Islamic Malay Kingdom in Riau. And now, the complex becomes an educational tourist spot that is recommended to visit. Siak Palace began to be built in 1889, Siak Palace was built by Sultan Assyaidis Syarif Hasyim Abdul Jalil Syaifuddin. The existence of Siak Palace is evidence of the history of siak Sri Indrapura Kingdom from the 16th century to the 20th century and now the palace is still standing.
