🍽️ Invited to a 1960s Milanese Home for Dinner 🍽️
A few years ago, when I visited Milan, my friends and I would go to this small, unpretentious, yet incredibly authentic pasta restaurant every night, frequented only by locals. But after switching phones, I lost the name of that place, which is such a bummer. Who can relate? 😔 But还好, this time in Milan, I discovered a different kind of "affordable alternative." This restaurant recreates the interior design of a Milanese home from the 1960s (if I remember correctly). I went to the one near the Duomo, and yes, there are two locations. Their menu features many traditional Milanese dishes. I'm not quite sure what an authentic Milanese Italian meal should be like, but it seems that this fried steak is a specialty (it looks like a pork chop, but I don't eat pork, so I asked if they had chicken, and they said it was beef). It's a huge portion, enough for two people (but we're foodies, we could finish it by ourselves). The steak doesn't come with any additional dipping sauces or seasonings because it's already well-flavored, somewhat reminiscent of KFC's original recipe. This ragu 🍝 is on the daily special menu (but it was there every day I went), and I ordered it every time—it's truly delicious and not too heavy on the taste. 🍮 For dessert, I absolutely loved the coffee panna cotta, it's magically delicious (yes, it's that exaggerated 😂). The tiramisu was good too, but I think it's a relatively common dessert that can be found in many places. ☕️ I ordered their traditional coffee, and 🍷 the wine was just a casual house wine. #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemShared #MilanFoodExploration #Milan #MilanFoodRecommendation
