🍽️ Recommending a Canal-Side Restaurant in Milan: La scaletta 🥂

Tucked away near the Porta Genova metro station, I've passed by countless times without noticing it. You have to enter through a small door that leads to a courtyard, and then into the restaurant. 🚪🍃 The interior is warmly decorated and elegantly styled. 🏡✨ Since it was Women's Day, the restaurant was fully booked with couples celebrating, mostly Italian locals in their forties and fifties. 💑🌹 The restaurant offers separate menus for lunch and dinner. 🥣🍽️ Dinner consists of a single page of options from appetizers, first and second courses, to desserts, making it choice-friendly for those with decision fatigue. 📜 I randomly selected dishes, and they were all delicious. The red wine beef was slow-cooked at low temperature, so tender it didn't need a knife, just a press and it melted. The mashed potatoes likely had cream, giving a subtle milky aroma, smooth and velvety on the palate. 🥩🥔 The appetizer was also superb, with tender duck and richly textured handmade pasta. 🦆🍝 Additionally, the wine list is longer than the menu, haha! 🍷😂 The service was exceptionally good as well. 👏 Highly recommended. 🌟 The average cost per person is around 50 Euros. 💶 #Italy #RestaurantRecommendation #DateNightRestaurant #AmbientRestaurant #WeekendDiscovery
