Auckland's New Hotspot | Piping Hot Lanzhou Noodles
Newly Opened Lanzhou Lamian & Skewer Shop in Albany 🍖🍜 The popularity is off the charts! I arrived at 5:20 PM, and the line was already out the door The menu is quite extensive. I flipped through it for ages—so many things I wanted to try 😋 (the menu is at the end!).🍭🍭 🍍While waiting in line to order, you can see every detail of the kitchen: The lamian (hand-pulled noodle) chef, the lady skewering meat, and the stir-fry chef all bustling around🍛🍛 The sizzle of grilled skewers 🍖 mixed with the steam from hot lamian 🍜 creates such a lively, homey vibe.🍰 The grilled lamb skewers are quite hearty. It was my first time trying grilled nang (Uyghur flatbread)—turns out it’s a bit like savory(jiangxiang bing, a layered, sauce-brushed pancake) 🤔. The lamb chops here are different from what I usually have.🍉🍉 👁️I prefer this skinless version—gnawing straight into the meat is so satisfying 😆. The beef skewers were sold out because the shop was so busy, which just gives me an excuse to come back again! The Stir-Fried Beef with Noodles comes highly recommended! Hand-pulled noodles are simply delicious. There’s also a cabinet in the shop with lots of other grilled skewers 🍖—you need to pick them out yourself and hand them to the kitchen to cook. I only noticed it when I was leaving. For those who haven’t been yet, don’t forget to order some 🍖 Restaurant: Lao Bai Jia Lanzhou Beef Lamian 🏠 Address: Oracle Drive, Albany (behind the Chinese Plaza area) 💰 Price: $25-30 per person🥧🥧 #Albany #AlbanyFood #AlbanyFoodExploration #LanzhouLamian #HandPulledNoodles #GrilledSkewers #LambSkewers #XinjiangStyleSpicyBigPlateChicken #Barbecue
