Italy | Two Fun Places to Visit π
π Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II Located in the heart of Milan, this massive shopping arcade (also one of the world's oldest shopping malls) is named after King Victor Emmanuel II and is a neoclassical Milanese architectural gem from the 19th century, completed in 1877. In addition to the most luxurious fashion brand stores, there are also many cafes and restaurants. Sadly, I missed out on trying the gelato here; they said it would only open after 12:00 PM. π Duomo di Milano Located in the city center of Milan, Italy, it is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. It is a Catholic church and is ranked among the top five cathedrals in the world. The construction of Milan Cathedral began in 1386, the vault was completed in 1500, and the highest Gothic spire, topped with La Madonnina (a gilded statue of the Virgin Mary) by Giuseppe Perego, was completed in 1774. La Madonnina is a symbol of the city of Milan. The entire cathedral was finished in 1965, taking five centuries. Napoleon held his coronation ceremony here in 1805. #GalleriaVittorioEmanueleII #DuomoDiMilano #MilanLife #Europe #ArchitecturalDesign #HistoricalBuildings #CulturalAttractionSharing #MyDiary
