This month, my family and I had the opportunity to visit the magnificent Duomo di Milano, and it was an experience that left us all in awe. Located at the very heart of Milan, the Duomo is a true masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance architecture and one of the most iconic landmarks in Italy.

As we approached the cathedral, we were immediately struck by its sheer size and intricate facade, adorned with countless statues, spires, and detailed carvings. The exterior alone is worth a visit, with its beautiful marble and stunning craftsmanship that took 6 centuries to complete. My family spent a good amount of time marveling at the façade before heading inside, and every corner seemed to reveal another incredible detail.

One of the most memorable parts of our visit was climbing to the rooftop terraces. After a few flights of stairs, we were rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Milan. The rooftop itself is an architectural marvel, with close-up views of the spires and sculptures that make the Duomo so unique. It was incredible to see the craftsmanship up close, and my family and I felt like we were on top of the world. It was a perfect spot for photos, and the view of the city stretching out in all directions was simply unforgettable.

I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to skip the lines, especially during the busy summer months. For families, the Duomo offers something for everyone: history, art, architecture, and fantastic views.
