Quebec Food Exploration Review Collection

Overall, it was great! Tried many things we don’t have in Boston. 💛 Ranking by Preference 💛 1️⃣ Patisserie Chouquette - My favorite pastry shop! Ate over ten varieties 😂 Detailed review in my previous post—absolutely delicious. 🌟 Must-tries: Ham & Cheese croissant, Almond croissant, Éclair, cream puffs—all incredible. 2️⃣ Le Lapin Sauté - My top restaurant pick. Unique dishes. 🌟 Braised rabbit and rabbit legs were amazing!! Onion soup had way too much cheese, though lol. 🌟 The "Juliette" cocktail was special—very tart citrus flavor but paired uniquely with watermelon juice. 3️⃣ La Buche - Mixed reviews, but I found it better than others. 🌟 Must-order: Pâté Chinois—super tasty and unique. Venison tartare was also well-made, no gamey taste. Maple syrup foie gras… way too sweet, drowned in syrup. BF liked it, but it was cloying for me. 4️⃣ Elli Restaurant - Dinner theater imitation. 💣 Too many hidden fees—coat check, show tickets, even $6 for plastic OJ. Performance was in French (couldn’t understand)... only got two English lines… boring. 🌟 Duck Benedict was good. Berry + nuts combo was interesting. Salmon dish was meh. Honestly, skip this place—but that one dish was decent. 5️⃣ Chez Boulay - Bistro Boréal - Ate here twice, both times underwhelming. Seasoning was bland, execution didn’t live up to the hype. Manage expectations—not as good as Boston. 🌟 Foie gras portion was tiny but tasty. Best part? The free breakfast bread and coffee… 💣 Fried chicken was rock-hard, like leftovers. 6️⃣ Chez Temporel - Open kitchen, strong smells. Only the foie gras terrine was good—the other two dishes were forgettable. 💣 Octopus had zero flavor, served on bland cornmeal...? 💛 Other Snacks & Small Bites 💛 All worth trying! 💛 7️⃣ Café La Maison Smith - Great coffee! Bought their red blend—super fragrant + rich oils. 8️⃣ Poutineville - Huge portions!! Delicious gravy fries. You can even DIY your own! 9️⃣ Erico Hot Chocolate - Chocolate from around the world—tons of flavor options. 🔟 Macy’s Popcorn - Give it a try, but it’s either super sweet or super salty. The guy was generous—when I said no lid, he shoveled in extra… took us forever to finish the bag! #FoodieAdventures #Quebec #QuebecTravel #QuebecCuisine #Goblin #QuebecLife #QuebecCityTravel #TravelEats #FoodExploration
