Wandering in Milan 🇮🇹 The Most Shocking Spot? The Bone Chapel! ☠️

Spent just one day in Milan, staying near Centrale Station. 🚉✨ Grabbed two amazing meals—highly recommend La Chalet and Spicy Sister Sichuan Cuisine, both right by the station. Milan’s Chinese food is unbelievably cheap and delicious! 🥢 First Stop ⛪ Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) Stumbled upon a 50% discount via Alipay (lucky find!). Arrived too late for rooftop tickets, so just explored the breathtaking interior. Saw the Holy Nail, candlelit altars, and the haunting flayed saint statues. The sheer scale is mind-blowing—after visiting countless churches in Italy over 10 days, this one’s the largest inside! 🏛️🔥 Took 500 years to build, with 52 towering pillars and exterior carvings so intricate, your eyes can’t catch every detail. Second Stop ☠️ San Bernardino alle Ossa (FREE ENTRY!) A short walk from the Duomo, this unassuming chapel hides a macabre secret. Follow Google Maps, enter the side door on the right, and pass a narrow corridor—BAM! A wall-to-wall display of human bones, meticulously arranged. This was a memorial for Black Death victims. 💀⚰️ Seeing real skeletons up close, stacked with eerie precision, was equal parts fascinating and spine-chilling. Never experienced anything like it! Missed The Last Supper due to poor planning (next time, da Vinci!). Also, random discovery: Milan’s souvenirs are pricier than Florence’s—kicking myself for not buying that handmade leather bag earlier! 😂👜 #Milan #DuomoDiMilano #BoneChapel
