I recently had the pleasure of dining at “SAF” Traditional & Homemade Food in Durrës, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home.

Maybe because it was late after lunch time but the place had very little choice. Meat dishes was tasty, meatballs only, with tomato sauce and without, some plain rice with it. No vegetarian options, dolma with wine leaves were super small and with too much onion and meat, no rice, nothing special and leaves were a bit hard too. I had also some potatoes in the oven, a bit of leftovers, not many left, but no taste. One salad which was good but they put oil and it was too much for my taste. A cola and a coffee we paid around 8 euro. Not for the money but my plate was almost empty and again, leftovers with no taste so also the value for money was not the best. I had to pass by a bakery right after, to have some burek and 2 desserts and I paid 2 Euro for much more tasty and fulfilling food. Maybe years ago the place was better. The lady was trying to help.
