Illyrian Garden — Restaurant in Bashkia Durrës

My girlfriend and I recently visited Illyrian Garden in Durrës, drawn in by its reputation for stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere. The venue certainly lived up to its name – the decor was an absolute delight, with lush greenery, comfortable seating, and a design that seamlessly blended modern elegance with natural elements. It was truly an Instagram-worthy setting, perfect for capturing those picture-perfect moments.

We arrived in the late afternoon, around 2 PM, hoping to enjoy a leisurely brunch and some refreshing drinks. Although we were under the impression that the kitchen was open at that moment, we were informed that it wouldn't be serving food until 4 PM. A bit disappointing, but we decided to make the most of it and focus on the drinks menu.

I opted for a protein shake and the "Illyrian Sunset" mocktail. Unfortunately, the protein shake wasn't quite what I expected. It seemed to be mixed with water instead of milk, resulting in a thin and somewhat bland consistency. Luckily, I was primarily focused on the protein content and not overly concerned with the taste. The "Illyrian Sunset," however, was a revelation. A perfect blend of sweet and tart flavors, with a hint of tropical fruit that danced on my palate, it was incredibly refreshing. My girlfriend ordered an alcoholic cocktail (the name of which escapes me now) and she was equally impressed with her choice.

One thing that struck us as odd was the inability to pay by card. In this day and age, it seemed unusual for a venue like this to not offer card payment options.

Overall, Illyrian Garden is a beautiful spot with a fantastic ambiance and delicious drinks. It's definitely worth a visit for those Instagram-worthy photos and a refreshing cocktail. However, they could certainly improve their communication regarding kitchen hours and payment options to ensure a smoother experience for...

My favorite spot to visit in the morning or evening during the summer. In the mornings, I’d work on my laptop while enjoying delicious banana chocolate crepes for breakfast, great coffee, and my absolute favorite, the detox smoothie. Once when I ordered the banana chocolate crepe they were out of bananas, but one of the staff ran to the store to get some..what an exceptional service! Most places would’ve just said “Sorry, we don’t have it.” The pizza looked tempting, though I didn’t try it when my friends ordered it. The staff speak fluent English and communicate effectively. Reservations aren’t needed, and the prices are very affordable. My only wish is that they offered an English breakfast and more menu variety.
