We had the pleasure of discovering this small, family-run restaurant in Durrës, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely excellent – fresh, full of authentic Albanian flavors, and clearly prepared with love and care. Every dish was a delight!

What made the experience even more special was the incredibly friendly and warm-hearted staff. You don’t feel like just another customer here – you’re treated like a guest in their home.

We visited after a wet day in Triana on the way back to our boat in Christian Marina. We had read the reviews and they were not wrong! A lovely family run restaurant with dad front of house cheffing away, mum in the kitchen and daughter Ami providing great English. As a child Ami’s father called her AMA hence the name of the restaurant ❤️ Complimentary traditional starters - as a thank you for us choosing their restaurant. Traditional Meat casserole and lamb with yoghurt shared. Ordered grilled veg and chips - but needed a doggy bag to take them away. Half litre of red wine. Total bill 3170 leki - @32 euros! Madness! Note - no card machine but leki or euro in cash 👍 Absolutely recommend...

A wonderful experience at restaurant AMA… We were absolutely delighted with this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and the food exceeded all our expectations. Everything was fresh, homemade, and prepared on the spot, with that authentic taste that feels like home cooked meals, but with a special and beautiful presentation. What amazed us the most was that my children, who are usually very picky eaters, ate everything and loved it! That alone says a lot about how delicious every dish was. On top of that, the presentation was lovely, with great attention to detail. We left truly happy, with the feeling of having enjoyed a meal made with love.
