The decision for dinner fell on the Aragosta restaurant, although there were restaurants with the same rating near our hotel. And it was a complete hit. The best experience in our seven-day trip through 4 countries. From the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff to the presentation of the wine and the food 5+. The main course: turbot with potatoes and vegetables from the oven is certainly the favorite of the evening, although the dessert is on par with it in terms of originality and deliciousness: ice cream as they make it in their home-made shop. Firmer and more compact than regular ice cream, but such a fullness of flavor that it delights. You can feel the homemade milk on your palate. A delight. And the staff is a special story. Unobtrusive, yet omnipresent and with just the right amount of information about the wine and food. If there is perfect service, then this is the closest to it. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aragosta Restaurant in Durres, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The fresh seafood, especially the raw fish dishes, was simply outstanding—perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The Italian cuisine offered a delightful variety, all made with the freshest ingredients.

The menu selection is so good that it really makes it difficult to decide. As you are greeted at the entrance, there is a selection of freshly caught fish. You are warmly greeted by the attentive staff and promptly seated. The wine selection is amazing and I chose one of the local wines which was outstanding! The food is mouthwatering and plentiful. The nice gentleman attending to our table offered a complimentary sampling of their very special brandy. I'm not usually a big brandy drinker, but this was smooth and warmed our souls!
